I've always saw mathematics, science, and logic to require little thought myself; all it amounts to is memorizing rules and applying them. That, to me, always seemed too simple and banal to be called "hard." It is necessary, and requires training, but I'm not sure it's symbolic of the highest potential in human thought. Mathematics and technical matters are about "how do I get from A to B"; but what is B? And why does getting to B matter?

STEM alone won't answer those questions.

That the humanities has degenerated to such a degree is unfortunate. I remember a time when you needed things like evidence and research and accurate description to excel in the humanities.

These days, it seems, people are treating the humanities like engineering, making students internalize various notions of "social dynamics" and "oppression," indicated by the color of a actor's skin, in which a plethora of "problematic notions" can be identified and argued, as if these are scientific facts, when they really are (as you said) "just bullshitting."

What was once the humanities is now (for a lack of a better term) "social engineering," but without the rigor, or the reality, behind real engineering. Perhaps that's why you laugh at them, and I laugh alongside you at them.

You forgot about how every thing wrong that ever has, is, or will be done is because of white heterosexual "cis gendered "<- (I hate using these words) men possibly Christian on top of the rest.
