Everything here was supposed to disappear. Banned subreddits, deleted communities, cancelled blogs — much of what is archived here survives nowhere else.
It stays free — no paywall, no account — for the next man who comes looking, the way it was free for you.
I pay for the servers, the storage and the bandwidth myself. If you want this record still standing in ten years, become one of the people who keeps it online.

Take that money of yours and invest it properly. Look at places like /r/financialindependence. If you place it properly, you can take out between 2% to 3% a year without touching the principal (including taxes & interest). That's 42,000$ to 63,000$/year that you could take out after taxes. Please don't do like so many lottery winners who burn through most of their cash within 3 to 5 years.
Look at it this way: 1000$ a week net, that's pretty good living when you don't have to work for it. The ultimate passive income. And you can do it for the rest of your life.
You could go back to school, start a business, whatever toots your horn -- or do nothing. That's a whole stash of fuck-you money.
You're probably Canadian since I know in Canada, lottery winnings aren't taxable because they are state-driven.

Close, I'm Australian but that's probably the most I should reveal.
You're right and I'll probably also go to that subreddit (probably under a different throwaway) for advice too.
I'll probably do something like set aside a small amount maybe 5% just to blow on some epic once in a life trip and then settle down living off passive income of whatever is left after purchasing my own place to live in (something modest I won't go flash)

Sounds like a plan. Be careful when you settle down, take your time to shop around for your property/house/condo. I don't know how housing prices are in Australia but here in Canada, it varies from city to city. Montreal for instance is an order of magnitude cheaper than Toronto or Vancouver. Investment-wise, just don't put all your eggs in one basket -- diversified portfolios, index funds, ETFs etc ... take advantage of all the tax loopholes you can find.
Here in Canada we have TFSAs (Tax Free Savings accounts) where you don't pay taxes on your interest. If you have the equivalent over there, take advantage of them!
Best is to find a good financial adviser first and foremost.
It's so easy to burn through all that cash.

Women can smell your money and they'll come out the woodwork to get a share of it.
If you don't want children, get a vasectomy.

Before you collect it, see if your area requires that lottery winners be public. Speak to a lawyer and see if you can collect the money in a blind trust for privacy reasons.
And donate a chunk to Vasalgel.
