A few thoughts:

This is the least useful feature that Google provides. It's pure Marketing clickbait.
The folks at Google that make these decisions are not the men. We're too busy innovating and are not distracted by this nonsense.
Who actually spends every morning clicking on these? The only time that I've caught myself clicking on these is if there is an interactive/fun experience or game. If I'm gonna waste time, it will be on Reddit.

Dump Google in favor of DuckduckGo.
There are even Google-free Androids known as "PinePhones". I haven't tried those yet, but I'm keeping my ear to the ground on them. I threw Microsoft out of my life some years back when I dumped Windows in favor of Linux.

Use Google only to solve coding related problems. Eventually it will give you stack overflow. But sometimes it suggests some other good websites too. Apart from that google is a shit.
