The entire MGTOW approach deals with, and is about, some of the most basic assumptions and beliefs about identity, meaning, culture and love. This is extremely deep-rooted stuff. We have been, most of us, bred from birth to operate on the Plantation, and to both embrace and internalize a whole set of myths that are actually manipulative lies.
Understanding this, and doing something about it, is not easy. Nobody mentions that, but the process of fully absorbing the red pill, understanding what you're doing and why is (or can be) a wrenching, soul-searching and challenging process that's easy to get wrong. And what's at stake is everything -- your identity, your future, all of it.
If you can, I think it's a great idea to bring in a third party -- a counselor, a coach, a therapist. Obviously, you have to choose the right one, like a therapist who specializes in men's issues, and doesn't just tell you to listen more. But this is difficult, important stuff, and I believe that working with someone who does it for a living is a really good idea.
