Jury's still out on the whole "civilization" thing. Let's see where we end up before patting ourselves on the back.

men made civilization to attract women
[–]CastandRefused24 points25 points26 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
We had to, they are attracted to what men do, not who we are, or just ya know, that we're men.
[–]Belrick_NZ12 points13 points14 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
to be fair the trade worked , survuval of the species n all.

I dont think so. If rape was not illegal, and it was not. men has no incentive to do so.
Until very recently (in the history of mankind, i would say 5000 years is very recently.) There were no dna test no police., and even no language. Would a men do so much if he could just rape and run? And the girls had no means to report? I highly doubt men would do so much for just pussy.
[–]Belrick_NZ-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
rape is in all of us. as in we all have raped ancestors . it is evolutionary advantageous behaviour which is why it still persists alas.
humans are driven by primitive behaviours
[–]carninja6814 points15 points16 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Hey if it was women we would live like those dirt hut African Matriarchies
[–]MrMagtow15 points16 points17 points 7 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
You don't need a hoverboard to know things are better. You wouldn't be alive past 35 without antibiotics, food sterilization, easy access to soap, washing machines (removal of virii and bacteria from clothes through washing is another civilization milestone - these days we have "plasmacaster"/ozone pumping washing machines and air-conditioners too to reduce transmission).
[–]ScoutSteiner1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
My personal comfort and quality of life are in no way a measurement of the quality or type of civilization we have. Your argument is based on a false pretense. You say I don't need a hoverboard to know things are better, but then you list a bunch of improvements civilization has made as evidence it's good. You're literally just baselessly disagreeing with me, then arguing what you just disagreed with me about.
We gotta wait to see how the experiment ends before we say it was a good one.
[–]MrMagtow1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I hear your argument, and I get your point of view. I will quote the adage of those who fail to learn from history are doomed to repeat it. To use that to push a point, looking back at the last 500 years has us further ahead than ever before in history. You don't think men have always felt they got the short stick? I don't think the collapse is coming - I think we're seeing the start of the transformation.
[–]ScoutSteiner0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I agree with that. I remember back in school we were taught that the internal combustion engine was one of the greatest inventions of the modern era because it allowed us to cheaply and easily produce and transport almost everything we need. I had the privilege of living before the internet was as widespread as it is now, and watching our cultural adoption of it change the way the modern world functions.
I think the reason I'm not coming across as well as I'd like is that we haven't really defined "civilization" as per the OP. There's human civilization as a whole, and then there are cultural civilizations (like the West for example). These can also be thought of as ideological, not just demographic.
I feel like you're comparing where we are now to where we have been, and yes obviously I would rather live now then in the past where I would already be dead haha.
I love history, it was my favorite subject in school and I love reading/watching videos in my spare time. We have the ability to gather evidence and try to understand what the world was like in the past, but unfortunately, the resources we have are limited and we make new strides in understanding the past every day. I'd also point out that history books are written by the winners, so there's always a bias when reading about the past.
If we could travel in the future, and compare ourselves now to the future, hopefully we would find our civilization lacking in comparison, but that's the beauty of hindsight. We can't accurately compare ourselves to the civilizations in the past because we're biased from our future perspective. People don't miss TV's if they've never even heard of them.
Bouncing off that and bringing it back to your "start of the transformation" point. I think we're quickly approaching the start of a new human civilization and world order, and I think the mass adoption of the the internet was the spark that ignited the powder.
[–]I_Fucking_Love_Traps0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
when will it end?
[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
What part of civilization is the jury still out on? Medical research? Science and technology? Quality of food an accommodation?
No civilization is perfect, ours included but the alternative is subsistence farming or living in caves as hunter gathers.
I really don't understand what part of living in caves you prefer to modern living.
[–]ScoutSteiner-3 points-2 points-1 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
This is a lazy argument bro, you're doing a false equivalence here, and then stating my position as equating/comparing hunter gatherers or subsistance farming.
Personally I was thinking more long term like space colonization and how we balance liberties vs systemic control, but you could look backwards too and compare our civilization to other civilizations in terms of ideology, but to imply I was saying we should be tribal hunter gathers because that's the "opposite" of having access to scientific research and antibiotics is absurd at best and lazy thinking at worse.
You can't judge a thing until we see where it lead, that's why I said let's see where it takes us before we start patting our backs. This civilization could end up in ashes, or it could pave the way to something better or worse.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Calling someone lazy doesn't make it right. In fact it would be tempting to call someone who has obviously never picked up a book on history or philosophy lazy.
Similarly, misusing a term like false equilavalence also doesn't make it right. There is no false equilavence in comparing civilized societies that have existed for millenia alongside primitive societies (some of which still survive to this day).
Your arguments are incoherent and muddled headed. Not worth responding to again.
[–]Honzo427-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Oh, so it’s completely subjective and based solely off of your idea of civilization. So basically to partially quote you, “Personally I was thinking...that you’re wrong and I’m right. We are a civilization and an advanced one given our basis for comparison.”
There was no definition of what "civilization" was, and so he made up a definition, put words in my mouth, and then insulted me, learn to read.
[–]Why_should_I_mayne55 points56 points57 points 7 years ago (13 children) | Copy Link
Thanks to women having the right to vote, I'm not enjoying today's civilization where the government rapes me and uses my tax dollars to subsidize a slut's lifestyle. Sure George Washington would approve.
[–][deleted] 22 points23 points24 points 7 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
Government has been doing that for millenia.
In fact that is pretty much the definition of a government. By very definition it governs, which means it controls and seeks more and more power. Governments are naturally parasitic.
[–]Why_should_I_mayne21 points22 points23 points 7 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
True but at least back then my money that I earned wasn't redistributed to a bunch of bums living off of welfare. Before 1930, if some slut decided to ride the carousel and have tyrone's bastard children, that was her problem, not mine. She'd be left on the streets to beg like the dog she is in order to survive. But nowadays YOU AND I pay to ensure that she can be as big as a slut she wants whilst we pay for her housing and food. Absolutely maddening. I'd rather my money be wasted on military incursions like it was back then by governments instead of these cancerous welfare programs where parasites can thrive.
[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Why the hell do you care if its going to the government, the rich or "bum".
If your hard earned cash is going anywhere, but your own pocket without your consent (i,e theft which is what tax is) then you should have a problem. I want my money in my pocket, not to some lord, federal state, welfare system or anything else without my saying so.
Welfare is negligible in comparison to the government. MGTOW because women are manipulative, deceiving, restrict your freedom, use your resources and in some cases get you locked up. What do you think the government does.
[–]Why_should_I_mayne10 points11 points12 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
You're not getting the point. I hate the government stealing my money for whatever purposes. But if it's going to inevitably steal it, I'd a million times prefer them to literally flush my dollar bills down the toilet rather than give it to a bunch of disgusting sluts so they can go and continue plaguing society unchecked with their spawn who will grow up to become criminals, be a burden upon society, and vote in more socialism.
[–]nebkhepurer-4 points-3 points-2 points 7 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I agree, however if you have this view and also are against abortion you’re a hypocrite. So I hope you’re not. Also military incursions are fucked you imperialist asshole how about we put that money towards infrastructure and create jobs eh?
[–]Why_should_I_mayne6 points7 points8 points 7 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I don't like the government taking my money and using it to fund some whore's abortion WHY THE FUCK SHOULD I PAY FOR THAT? I didn't say I was for imperialism, I'm against it. I hate neocons. I agree I'd rather have our money go towards our own economy. What I'm saying is that the government has always used our money for stupid shit like fighting fake wars like the Spanish American war, but I'd prefer that evil rather than subsidize sluts and socialism like today.
[–]nebkhepurer-5 points-4 points-3 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
The government does not fund abortion in the United States, it’s illegal. Would you support abortion in that case? Not every woman who needs an abortion is a whore, and if anything allowing abortion would save men a whole lot of money in child support.
[–]Why_should_I_mayne0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yes it does in 17 states.
https://www.lifenews.com/2017/03/17/17-states-force-taxpayers-to-fund-abortions-does-yours/
Abortion would save men a lot of money, however, I'm against the taking away of life. NASA would consider some bacterium a light year away as a sign of life, I definitely consider a fetus as being alive. If you don't think killing a baby is murder okay then whatever. But I do and I'm against murder of any sort.

uses my tax dollars to subsidize a slut's lifestyle Government has been doing that for millenia.
uses my tax dollars to subsidize a slut's lifestyle
What? No it hasn't. 1000 years ago, every government was basically a successful male warlord plus a few dozen to a few hundred of his successful male buddies (the aristocracy).
Government didn't start large-scale robbery of productive men to subsidize single women until the 20th century, mostly post-1930.
[–]julianleung0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It did. Women are always the net drainer of tax no matter which eva you are in.

Yes I agree those cucks in the 20's ruined everything, and the cucks today are the majority of males. European culture's biggest flaw was the tendency of putting pussy on a pedestal. We should've learned from our roman ancestors what happens when you don't put women in their place and society collapses. Fucking idiots didn't read history.

Say that when you're shitting in an outhouse in December. Every single time you have to shit. I've done it. Ain't as bad as shitting over a log, but it still sucks.
I’m Canadian and work construction. I’ve shat in out houses well below -25 Celsius. Straw huts is a bit far fetched. I could build myself a log cabin. I guess this is how technology works. Constantly improving on the norm. Humans are hardwired to make things easier, simpler, faster, better. It’s inevitable we are where we are nowadays

not necessarily true, you raise a woman right and she has personality and flair
[–]Dontmindmebrother8 points9 points10 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Women operate as a collective.. The perfectly raised woman is STILL susceptible to influence from friends and media.
[–]Libertarian_Gamer4 points5 points6 points 7 years ago (28 children) | Copy Link
It is true. Women are physically weaker than men. They have a less dynamic IQ distribution. And they generally aren’t as good being leaders.
[–]fuckinggoatboy-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (26 children) | Copy Link
those averages are true. however, a lot of things come into play. genetics and upbringing are still huge factors. they can be good people that you want to spend time with. you probably have been near a lot of shitty women in the past, and i’m sorry, but give them a chance.
[–]Mentaofficial-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (25 children) | Copy Link
All women are the same.
[–]nebkhepurer-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link

[–]nebkhepurer-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (7 children) | Copy Link

[–]fuckinggoatboy-2 points-1 points0 points 7 years ago (14 children) | Copy Link
please elaborate! do you have any studies you can share?
yikes sweaty where's your sources reeeeeeeeeee
You are all the same lmao
[–]Mentaofficial-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (12 children) | Copy Link
I don't need studies I've met plenty of normal women and not one had a different personality than the other all shallow, selfish and superficial. My only exception for women are real Christian women because they're the only ones I can sense good from.
[–]fuckinggoatboy1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (10 children) | Copy Link
ah, sensing good. is it a tingle you feel in your toes or do you decide to like them when they tell you they’re christian?
[–]Mentaofficial-1 points0 points1 point 7 years ago (9 children) | Copy Link
When they're nice, respectful, helpful, smiling and hug me goodbye after a conversation I can sense the desire to be good in them. No other woman can do this except a Christian woman and the only way I'd ever get married is if it's a real Christian woman these regular women are evil.

[–]oufffffffffff0 points1 point2 points 7 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[–]Libertarian_Gamer1 point2 points3 points 7 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Men are better leaders (more testosterone) , men have a more dynamic IQ distribution (lots of male CEOs but also lots of male criminals) , and men have more body strength
