When I was a kid people used to always try to make me look stupid. When I got older, people liked to act like I was crazy because I was often raving about things they knew nothing about.

It later became clear to me that they were simply trying to act intellectually superior without investing any effort into actually making themselves intellectually superior.

I now know that this is how the lazy and weak-minded marginalise and alienate people they feel inferior to.
