F of gravity equal to force of drag. F=mg and f =ma, the force of air drag. We know terminal velocity hits at t = 20 sec, so the acceleration ten is C * 20² or 400C m/s^2.

What we have is this:

F,g = f,terminal Mg = ma Mg = m(400C)

Divide out m.

g = 400C.

So C is g/400 or 9.8 m/s² divides by 400. Or around 2.45 x 10^-2 i think. Or in other words 0.0245.

I can’t guarantee my answer. However I am taking introductory to modern physics along with optics right now so there’s that.

lol wtf? Don't you need a simple separable differential equation for that?

Wait...never mind. So, acceleration is a differential equation of the second order. Typically, you'd integrate this expression twice (along with it's initial conditions) to find all your relevant variables and systems of equations. However, in this problem the KEY is that after 20 seconds (t = 20), your acceleration essentially goes to ZERO. What does it mean to reach terminal velocity? Your acceleration BECOMES 0. So, we can write, f(20) = a = C (20)² = C * 400. Solving for C gives, C = a/400. a is typically 9.8m/s^2. Good luck.

Argh!!!!! There is so much wrong here. A terminal velocity is not something you reach but something you get closer and closer to asymptomatically. There is no approximation to aerodynamic drag that works here. What universe does acceleration = Ct² come from? Time since when? or is the velocity? The question is nonsense so the answer is Tuesday
