You know, just like with "old fasioned" period rags, hence the term "on the rag". A woman would have a couple rags, stuff them in the old cootchie-snorter, and switch them out and rinse them as they went.

Diaper are the same thing. It's some fucking cloth, and you clean it. I'd recommend changing the kid in the yard, hosing it off like a dog, hose out the diaper, then re-diaper it with another one.

Make some cloth diapers, pro tip: you can do this with toilet paper too and just buy a back of rags or washcloths for that purpose.
