I would answer her that PART of giving her husband a "happy and fulfilling life" is predicated on the idea that she is monogamous and loyal. Pretty sure if the husband knew about this, he will no longer be "happy and fullfilled". Unfortunately, these two ideas - monogamy and your husband's happiness - are intertwined and not separate things.
