The older generation completely and utterly failed to pass on useful information or prepare the new generation of men in how to deal with women.

When I look back on my teens and young adulthood I can't even fathom how woefully unprepared I was for dating, dealing with, and understanding women. My dad didn't teach me a single goddamn thing and my mother molded me into a supplicating beta male.

my father could neither help me nor free me. but he supported me in his spirit. though when men in my family spoke out in my defense, they were scolded. women in my family could not stand that they had no control over me. i obtained sainthood in my grandfathers eyes due my resistance and successful escape from their plantation. my family once told me i needed permission to take my own grandfather to dinner. permission from whom? you ask... why from all the women, of course. you see, a free man is naturally a threat, a wreckloose, and violent. lest he take an old man to dinner and let said old man eat whatever the fuck he wanted! hurry before a war crime is committed!... sigh. all things that serve to free a mgtow, are useful

My father was and is awesome, and a bad ass. He taught me to be a cynic and a skeptic, but even he didnt realize how much of a cynic and skeptic either of us needed to be, to be absolutely free, but either way he taught me to trust no one, including women, including the sacred cows of the nether-apes, including government and the system, and so forth, and the rest I had to learn through hard experience and on my own. I know this is the exception, and most men's childhood an upbringing were and are nothing like mine, but know that my dad was and is "crazy" as fuck, especially to... Normal fags or citizens or sheep or sane people or whatever you want to call the masses of supposed human beings, the predictable, programmable and preprogrammed to no return. Hell, my pops has always been my favorite heretic, even though we've had plenty of hang ups in the past, and I've picked many bones with him over the years, and I suppose my one regret is that I wish we could have learned to communicate and connect better, and sooner, but overall I can't complain.

Yep. Dad taught me bluepill stuff that really stunted me in the current environment. I pretty much do the opposite of what he tells me now to great success.

They carry a lot of responsibility for why things are as fucked up as they are right now with their terrible parenting and life decisons.

Excellent insight. Take it a step further. They never existed. Hypergamy is ingrained into wymyn's DNA. It is their default mating strategy. Modern contraception, no-fault divorce and extra judicial misandrist family courts have enabled the free range, no consequences exercise of hypergamy, but it was always there. Given the same advantages our mothers and grandmothers would have done exactly the same. There were never any unicorns.

My father is a simple working class guy. Not really a role model or leadership type. He pretty much let my mother run the house, do all the talking, and teach the kids everything. He just focused on punching the clock as men of his generation did. I wasn't an expensive kid to raise, but he did help me pay for college while I was also working. So I was sort of raised by my mother, with a dangerous grizzly also living in the house.

That's why I'm MGTOW and a lot of other things my father never was. When you have no leader you invent yourself from whole cloth. I don't talk to him about much because I know he doesn't understand anything. A couple of times over the years when I've mentioned red pill truths (not by that name) to him, he sort of smiles and nods ruefully. I guess life taught him the same hard lessons it taught me, but he didn't know he was supposed to pass anything on.

No, I disagree. Our fathers (and their fathers) went through the same blue pill indoctrination that we went through. "A real man puts his wife and family before himself, even at the cost of his hopes, dreams and his life. A real man doesn't complain. A real man provides for others. Women are pure and selfless. The love of a woman is the highest thing that you can achieve.".

They knew this as absolute fact and so its normal that they taught it to us too. I daresay if you asked the vast majority of men now, particularly older men, they would still agree with most of the above.

Unfortunately they were completely blindsided by feminism which allowed for free range of real female nature. The fortunate thing, for us at least, is that feminism allowed us to see past the indoctrination into reality. Our fathers didnt fail us, they were just fed lie upon lie for all their lives. I pity the countless generations of men that came before us.

My father did not fail me. He showed me what not to do. Married a lazy, entitled wife who * wasted his money on frivolous bullshit * nagged him * refused to take a job * was a sadist who abused her kids so badly that my sister and I effectively raised the younger siblings * was a superstitous religious fanatic * denied sex * told every neighbour and friend how pathetic he was and was responsible for all her problems * threw her tantrums to avoid getting fined by police and a lot of others * ignored his visitation rights after the inevitable divorce He worked his ass off with countless overtime hours. A good Christian does that, I guess. He later did develop contempt for women, but definitely ruined his life.
