"Legit" sources? Seems to me like an appeal to authority: If written by guy X, on channel Y or on website Z, it's credible. I myself pick news sources from pretty much across the web. Quite a few are trustworthy in some areas, but heavily biased in others. For instance, as we know here, the BBC is often not trustworthy on men's issues. Does not mean it's a bad news source at all, though.

I'm sceptical. Livestock mammals already have more biomass than free-living mammals and we still seem to do fine. What is a huge problem is overfishing, but that might be solvable. A lot of the big and cute animals could probably go exstinct and the climate change without a huge threat to our existence. What we do need are bees, soil bacteria and the like. Of course the planet would be less beautiful and the species forever lost. I acknowledge that.

Bad teachers can't handle alternative views. It sucks for the kids. Being suspicious of authority, I tended to look up things for myself. But with contrarian views, I often encountered "shut up, we don't want that here", mostly from women teachers. I hated it. One of the highlights was being called a fashist in my German school when I said in 2011 during the Arab spring that overthrowing the dictators was stupid and predicted pretty closely the chaos we are in now.
