It even makes sense from an evolutionary perspective, because it is a reward for her mating with a high value male.

It is also likely a component of hypergamy, because it would be an incentive for a woman to mate with a higher value male - the sex would automatically just be better.

It would also mean that as a woman becomes more acclimated to a relationship and the perks thereof, that sex will gradually become less enjoyable as what she would value has changed, thereby depreciating the value of her current mate.
