Friend is in prison falsely. Ex gf implanted child pornography on his lost hard drive 3 years ago. Had his kid while lying she was on birth control. She being a single mom had her daughter 10 year old lie that he showed the little girl his private parts. He's now a registered sex offender and release date 2028 I've known him for 15 years, brother from another mother. And I found out Florida can just come convict/arrest you with word of mouth and no evidence.

I was on "the bench", which in Mgmt Consulting means you're not assigned to a project so you basically just do nothing until you're assigned again (your metrics end up looking bad though and you're supposed to be proactive to get on a new project).

I started watching a lot of youtube videos and came across Buzzfeed. Watching those videos got me very angry and I thought "no way i'm the only one that thinks this shits terrible and one-sided". A google search about one particular video about "25 questions to ask men" or something led me to a scathing critique of it on this sub.

Each post i clicked on after made increasingly more sense to me (especially having seen TRP sub and been turned off by it's woman-centric nature)

I already was pretty invested in the MGTOW philosophy, I just didn't know MGTOW was a thing. I guess in my quest to find like minded people I just kinda stumbled into this glorious mead hall.

I think the very first link for me would have been James damore. Related interviews led me to red pill, Reddit, and mgtow. Thank God for an open mind, I was a simp with a rotten woman at the time. Good times.

Just last year. I had watched a movie called "The Red Pill" and at the same time there was this girl I met on OkCupid and I was exchanging long messages with...but we lived kind of far away.(roughly an hour and some minutes) Plus there were long gaps in quite a few of her responses and I would try to respond timely. We had voice chatted...but no face chat. I had made several attempts to meet up with them. I did like her, but I jokingly said to myself "she's probably taken or likes someone else". The gaps were circumstance I thought at the time, she works a dead end job and is probably tired. I really had that thought as a joke.

Until she finally said something to the effect of "heyyyy..." "so sorry for the long delay" and blah blah. She mentions that she just "got betrayed by her friend". I say "before I respond, what do you mean by betrayed". She goes on this sob story of this other guy she was talking to that she liked and she thought he liked her and was flirting with her a lot. They voice and even video chatted and almost met...but he then tells her he has a girlfriend and ends it. That whole story...just explained the large gaps of communication, the blaze attitude, and why she all of a sudden messaged me like that. It wasn't until I asked for more that I got my answer....my "joking thought" above was my gut telling me the truth all along. I wrote her one last, long message where I pointed these things out and ended it by telling her that "I do feel bad for you, but I will not support you". I still have a ad habit of long messages to girls...especially when they clearly won't care. After that message, I blocked her on discord(we were both gamers), her number, and okcupid. I then researched the Red Pill as much as I had time for and realized that MGTOW was the way to go eventually. Full on Red Pill is too dangerous and contributed a few more to my many....MANY bad experiences with women. I had heard about MGTOW years prior, but I saw it as giving up. "If this guy got a girlfriend, maybe I have a chance" I would say to myself while moping. Now, I see it as the truth. All those "compliments" girls gave me in the past and post Red Pill took a whole new meaning. It just isn't worth the pain, suffering, and cold-hearted bullshit anymore.

While sifting through the recent MCU and other Hollywood woke criticism videos on youtube, because I was disappointed in Captain Marvel and Avengers Endgame (it was ok, but the whole Captain Marvel shit put a bad taste in my mouth). I wasn't alone in my disappointment.

I soon saw red pill content recommendations pop up that helped me connect the dots on why my previous experiences felt off and then everything finally made sense.

And then while binging on red pill content, something still felt off since they were mostly pushing the agenda of seeking validation from women. More red pill video recommendations helped me connect the dots on PUA scammers, thanks to the mix in of mgtow content.

After consuming a lot more content on red pill and mgtow content, mgtow made the most logical sense since it's flexible and avoids trouble. It was good timing too because there was a cohabitation/marriage carrot dangler patiently breaking me down over months and I immediately snapped out of it. Mgtow saved me, whereas standard red pill doesn't do jack about the end game.

Started with Barbarossa's videos, decade ago. Don't know I stumbled over them. But really I've only started going mgtow last couple years. I've learned that discovering the path and walking it are different things. Many guys claim being MGTOW, but as Barbarossa once said, they are one blowjob away from plantation.

Man I remember reading about The Ladder Theory in high school. I always thought dating was pointless and working my first job doing construction, all the older guys filled me in on their experiences. I'd been saying "I'll never get married" since I was a child and found out Batman wasn't married but one key moment was my Dad trying to tell me how awful marriage is....and he joked "But you won't listen...you'll have a girlfriend one day and you'll say NO DAD SHE'S DIFFERENT" and I was kinda he offended he thought his son was that stupid.

Proved that fucker wrong.

Growing up with a father openly complaining about he should have never gotten married or had children was a blessing. To be surrounded with that misery on a daily basis is like a 17 year waiting period while you assemble your parachute and prepare to leap off the plane.

Same way you meet a Vietnam veteran with no legs and think, "Well, I'm not doing that."

I accepted the concept when I moved to the USA. I thought that it was just a cultural thing in my home country, that women would not work hard and would use men for money so that they could live in luxury while the men worked hard and on occasion risked their lives. Then they would leave the man or not act kindly to him until they where forced to break up.

When I moved to the USA, a completely different country and culture, I learned that women are just like that. I found out about this group when I posted something and someone said " you aren't one of those incel mgtow people, are you"?

Tried dating for a couple of years with no success. Realized one day that maybe it's not for me? Saw friends, colleagues and others so unhappy with their relationships/marriage and decided I should just focus on myself instead of chasing the wrong things. Sometimes I imagine myself in other guy's shoes having a wife going ape shit on them in public yet not able to say something but since she's "always right". What a disaster!

i kind of always was mgtow. i have always thought about things besides women. as a kid it was bikes skateboards and video games. then as a young man it was cars status and learning how to work around other men. now that i am older it is a warm comfortable quiet home delicious food and drink and luxuries. the only reason i have ever thought about women was because at the time it seemed to be a benefit to status or like my fixation with cars i saw something beautiful and wanted to posses it until it became more cost than benefit.

I helped a friend survive after getting falsely accused and get nearly destroyed years before #cashmetoo'd, and saw that that the corporate/academic world was an insane place. Found this sub before #metoo and was pumping and dumping, holding out for the idea that even if there wasn't a NAWALT, maybe some guys created one because they knew enough game, or had money, whatever. These bros were explaining and going through what I'd suspected in the back of my mind for a long, long time but couldn't explain. AWALT, the courts, the uselessness of prenups, Briffault's law, hypergamy, third-degree price discrimination, tradcuckery, etc. It not only made sense, it helped me improve my relationships with women. I was finally ahead of their games and more relaxed than ever. Then everyone went broke for #woke and #cashmetoo happened, and I realized MGTOW had helped me change for the better, was keeping me and everyone depending on me safe, and I didn't need anyone else's validation, especially about relationships.
