How did your last breakup go?

Here's how mine went.

I was talking to her on the phone after she left work where my house phone rings while we're talking. I pick up the phone, and it's my mom telling me about the travel conditions while she's on the road for Thanksgiving.

All of this while she's still on my cellphone.

She then hangs up on me, and I called back like what the fuck?

She tells me I shouldn't talk to my mom, she shouldn't call me, and she's sick of us talking to each other.

She didn't pick up for over three hours after I called back where I'm assuming she went and fucked someone. At least that's what I told her when we finally spoke again.

Afterwards I ended up getting the silent treatment so I said fuck it.

That was the end of it, and she's been on block since that day.

I've gotten several unknown calls in that time where I haven't given in to any of them.

She's a complete bitch.

Last breakup was followed shortly by a concussion, and the brain damage led to major simpage(i was convinced the only thing that could make me happy was her), suicide attempts for attention, and ultimately forced me to rebuild myself into someone im actually happy to be.

So fucking worth it.

My last break up was with my girlfriend of two years, and it was quite recent (early October). I was very insecure with myself, hated how I looked and sounded, and that sort of caused me a lot of mental strain and jealousy. She was Bi and had a habit to be a bit too handsy with her female friends, I got upset and it was the straw that broke the camels back.

We break up, she keeps toying with my heart a little by offering physical needs, but no emotional. I go ballistic and we argue, and end up being back together. However, she goes through my phone the next dag (ikr) and she sees I told one of my friends I didn't see a future in any relationship at my age, and she decides I meant with her (I didn't, I was upset and it was a general statement) and we break it off again.

She is, to this day, emotionally attached. It was tough, and I find myself slipping from time to time, but that's natural.

My ex still calls me every time she gets drunk and cries while begging for forgiveness. I allow it to continue cause hearing her in that state of mind makes me smile. I never allow her to come over tho.

I'm the guy who's had messy break ups even though I wasn't dating any of the women I was involved with, simply cut them off as soon as I lost interest and had enough of the b.s. so last girl I cut off she's an emotional wreck, will cry on demand, wallow, tears will fall like a fountain so she got in her head that because I cut her off she is hurt, she was never into me only our "friendship, banter, relationship", she actually missed the pool of men she tried to monkey branch on to from that all rejected her without hesitation so she made a scene at a party organized by some friends of mine went on a emotional alcohol infused tangent about how she misses me, I hurt her, her sister and parents hate me and the fact I'm not reacting makes it look like I'm a dick, she went as far as saying the reason why my mate she fancies that won't give her the time of day won't make a move (because he's got standards and she's not his type).

Had to have my friend group of 4 lads pull me out from that situation only for her to catch me off guard as I'm leaving at that point in time I got in my car and fucked off

I've not experienced this "bitch wanting to come back" phenomenon that y'all like to talk about every now and then. The ex-wife just throws vitriol filled bullshit at me via text on a regular basis, and the ex-gf won't talk to me/hasn't talked to me in 3 years.

I think that stuff happens very, VERY rarely.

At this stage once I'm pretty sure they're impossible, I usually give them once last chance. (I.e. I might be talked into trying again after a "breakup" (i.e. once).)

The second time, when they show up at your doorstep you just have to stand there and let them go off for a while to get it out of their system. Any more, it's so absurd I am fighting the impulse to laugh. I will sometimes exchange a few emails with them on the unlikely chance that they might want to remain casual acquaintances, but when that is proven false I just stop responding after a while.
