try to look at how she treated you logically, no emotion. See the shit tests, shame, blame, manipulations, control, etc. she played you, see them for what they are. Look at the reasons and history for why and how your relationship deteriorated, not to place blame -that's emotional, but for clarity. Look at it from a logical, fact-based perspective, keep the feelings and emotions out of it.

When I was a kid growing up there was a big Satanic panic about Dungeons & Dragons. My friends and I laughed at the nonsense, but we all acknowledged that the game could pose a danger to those who had difficulty separating fantasy from reality.

I mistakenly thought that applied only to people with schizoaffective type mental disorders or drug induced psychosis. Turns out, just like OP, I bought in to a fantasy.

The girl you love doesn’t exist. It’s a great illusion. In hindsight, someday you’ll see it. It’s like seeing the Wizard of Oz behind the curtain. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

What is Love, actually?

When you cut in to parts, we can see it's biological (and partially mental) processes. Biology can't be unfealth. Only managed.

I'm not biologist or well read about this. But beleive it's (LOVE) something like this

Love.
First biological reaction: hormones for wanting to mate (testosterone, finding someoattractive, etc. hormones)
2nd biological reaction: Bounding hormones (meant for a dude to stick around, for survavl of offspring reasons)

3rd biological reaction: Hormones related to fear of change and loss. Not wanting to loose what good we have.

It takes a long, long time. You might never “stop” loving her, but the faster you remove her from your life, the easier the process will be. Get rid of everything that reminds you of her. Block her on everything so she doesn’t message you and fuck up your grieving process.

A big thing is to never initiate contact. When they talk to you, just ignore it. Don't even read it. I'd get rid of social media too if you have it. Stay busy.

View her through an untainted, unbiased lens. Get away from the need to look at her the way you're "supposed" to according to social programming. Don't assign anything to her, don't justify her behavior, don't view her through the lens of "hope" or "fighting for her" or any of that shit. If she's disrespected you, belittled you, abandoned you, humiliated you...any of that, imagine her being a man and doing these things to you. How would you feel then? How would you respond to it?

Apply that standard across the board to women and you're good.

Simple. Learn that love is merely just chemicals in your brain. Women are trash. No seriously they’re trash. Beat your meat whenever you feel like texting her.
