I enjoy being alone. I also work from home but I go out with buddies, have a few friends with benefits, go traveling, & check off things off my bucket list. Sounds like your are dependent off of others & the life of solitude might not be for you.

All things were you will have some level of interaction with others.

I work from home. So at least once or twice a week I’ll take an uber and if the driver is cool and talkative I will reciprocate.

Save money by moving into a bedroom in a large house with multiple renters so you get more social contact and then use the money you save to go on international vacations. Central and South America, along with South East Asia is very cheap to visit with amazing sights and activities, friendly people, and its easy to find female company on your journey.

You have two more friends than I do, and I'm fine. Maybe you just need more time to make the transition is all. Codependency can be hard to break for a lot of guys.

Edit: Have you tried wearing yourself out at the gym and coming home too tired to think about this stuff?

Turn the TV on a break up the silence. Start a routine that gets you some social interaction. Get used to being alone because once you realize you don’t need anyone else, you have an amazing amount of power. I was lonely for about a year after my divorce and pretty depressed. Once I finally got over the loneliness, everything was awesome. I had a confidence I have never imagined before.

Stick with it brother.

I'm visiting my dad for the winter down here in PR, and he's working on his 4th wife. He lost about $350-500k to his 3rd wife.

It sickens me to think I once held him in the highest regard, and now I just feel bad for him.

I think he moved her into this place within a week of moving down here. I told him...she's not stupid. She knows what she's doing. He's the idiot.

Get hobbies dude. Work on yourself. You are so used to someone else entertaining your life or entertaining that person you forgot how to entertain yourself. Learn a new skill. Always wanted to learn guitar now you can. Always wanted to get in amazing shape now you can. Always wanted to travel or volunteer now you can. Work on yourself dude no one is required to entertain you in life so learn to do it yourself. I'm guessing one reason you are separated is cause you relationship was to co dependent. Learn how to be self dependent. Onces you learn that you will know how to exhaust yourself with your hobbies. Pick one hobby that is physical, one that's artistic and one that you can make a secound source of income like investing.

Do car repair on your own.
Fullfil a hobby.
Exercise.
Go to movies
Make friends at work.
Read books.
Learn something. There is a lot to do when you are alone. You can visit your parents once in a month or so. Solitude is addictive. Once you start liking it, it's hard to leave.
