Hi guys,

Over they years I’ve kept up with my favorite hobbies since childhood. There are three:

Shooting guns

Riding motorcycles

Research (my current career)

For shooting guns, you can do it alone, it’s seriously fun, and you can make friends at the range. Currently, I only shoot pistols. I’ll elaborate if asked. Make certain to get proper safety training and FOLLOW IT!

For motorcycle riding, you’re safer off-road. Start small and work up over time. Wear safety gear (ATGATT). If you must street ride, take a safety class and again start small and work your way up. I’ve been hit twice (the second time nearly fatal). On the street THE OTHER DRIVERS INTEND TO KILL YOU. If you don’t have that mindset, don’t ride. Again ATGATT. And you WILL crash.

For research, it’s supremely easy. Pick a topic. Then, using critical thinking start with the interwebby begin searching. Move to books and journals as appropriate. Take notes if you want, but look at all sides. Doing this not only educates you, but sharpens critical thinking skills.

These are just my choices, so just find something you love and go at it with all your soul.

These three hobbies keep me completely fulfilled.

YMMV
