True, as long as it isn't applied TOO literally. Everyone has to be happy by himself or herself first, but that's not an excuse to blame the other part if he's unhappy BECAUSE OF YOU.

As an example, this line of reasoning could be used to justify a thot keeping her beta bucks away from her and giving him no attention despite the fact that he's her "husband". If the man is unhappy because of this, "then it's his problem it's not my job to make him happy he should learn to accept what he gets". Sometimes, depending of the context, your job IS indeed to sacrifice yourself a little bit for the other (something women aren't able to do anymore and one of the reasons everyone should GHOW). One cannot make another person happy if the other person doesn't try, but it can definitely make someone's life way worse, and that's something they can be accountable for and therefore that is "your responsibility".

Being a psych and sacrificing EVERYTHING for the other isn't a part of the job though, yes, but behaving like a normal/good person is.

Don't really understand how this is MGTOW-specific. Like yes he's talking about a woman because he dates and is attracted to women, but he talks about how "she" and himself are EACH responsible for their own happiness. He's saying this to anyone of any gender, not necessarily directed towards women specifically.
