I don't know where to post this where I won't get yelled at. So I'll just put it here.

I was texting a young girl, and she mentioned she had depression. I told her it's okay I have depression as well. She expressed a little hesitation to believe me for some reason, like I was lying. I told her I was serious, I told her how I once stabbed my own hand with a knife years back, about how my mom walked in on me years back with a bag tied to my head. She said if it was serious I would have talked to someone about it. I told her I have, that recently I fell apart on vacation and I talked to my family and friends about it, I opened up, and I scheduled a doctor's appointment. She said that she is a psyche major and none of that sounds like what a depressed person would do, or what a depressed person should do in a dangerous situation. I told her what do you mean a family member told me having depressive meltdowns on Vacation is actually very normal. She once again says she is training to be a psychologist and none of it sounds right and then ghosted me.

I felt gaslighted, like my depression wasn't real. Here's the thing after talking to a doctor and not someone "training to be a psychologist". I was vindicated, that people on vacation do often suffer meltdowns when they have depression, that the right course of action was talking about it with my friends and family no matter how hard it was, and the right action was calling a doctor. She said all the right things I was doing was wrong, she's gonna be a terrible psyche major. This is why I don't believe the BS about men killing themselves more because we don't seek help, I did and I was immediately judged for it, the truth is the world just doesn't value my life that much. Imma still fight. I didn't know where to post this, I feel like wherever I do it would just be disregarded because I was ghosted by a women. I would be labeled a neck beard or whatever. I'm no misogynist, I just have issue with this specific girl.
