I've been a lurker for a while, this is my first post (throwaway account for anonymity). Also my apologies in advance for the wall of text as I'm doing this on mobile. I've been doing some thinking lately. I'm a fifteen year old male going into my sophomore year of high school and I'm kind of trapped between a rock and a hard place. When thinking about what I'm going to do with my life, I realized I have 2 options here: 1) Go to university to get a good degree for a high paying job, but risk the likely outcome of going into massive debt for a degree I likely won't use. 2) Dont go to university and get a good head start in a stable job (as recommended on this sub before) but throwaway the chance I had at university. I'm not trying to put a stick up my ass, but I've maintained good grades in honor classes all my life and feel like I could have a decent shot at getting a good engineering job. However, I dont want to wage all my bets on a profession that may not truly give me fulfillment in life. I just dont want to fucking waste my life going along the same damned assembly line that everyone goes down. Thanks, any advice would be greatly appreciated. Happy Monday
