I get her point of view, no one on either side wants to date someone overweight. I just have a problem with the way women react when they are confronted with being fat. Men will know it is true and think of and try ways to shed some pounds. Women victimize themselves and shame others for calling them out.

This sounds legit...no matter what the genders are. If it were reversed, it would still be ok. Now, if he was going to the gym & being healthy & she still moved the goal post & said he needed a 6 pack...or his hair...then it's getting shallow. But really, if a guy wants to be shallow, it's ok, right? He can go his own way to be asexual if he wanted...or be single for no other good reason if he wanted. He (and she in this case) can do what he wants and owes not explanation.

She is shallow, but she’s also stupid. Over weight and diabetic means shortened life expectancy which means life insurance pays off sooner and she’d be set. Or at least better off. She could sell his corpse for medical/cadaver school or donate it to a Body Farm and pocket the insurance.
