If you want to live a happy life, just remember a few things.
Love yourself. Improve yourself, not for getting women, but for achieving your future goals. Some people think of women as a companion, some think of them as a distraction/leech.
Anything I say here won't change your approach towards women, it is completely up to you to choose your own path. But if you really want to GYOW, then first find your own way. Concentrate on what you want to become in the next 5-10 years. If you immerse yourself into achieving your goals, you won't even find the time to go after women.

For hobbies, hiking makes for a great way to unwind from the world and self reflect. Learning an instrument (I play guitar) or do sports with friends (I play pool and poker with drinks as rebuy so we don't waste too much money) can be a good way to avoid depression (solitude can truly take you to dark places of your mind).

Don’t get married. Your family, especially your mom, will most likely try to set you up and put pressure on you. Also the indian culture is so misandric, I’d seek my fortune abroad. Since you have a tech job, one way to escape their influence is to get a job abroad and send home money. Then you can just make up stories like “I met a lovely girl! [two weeks later] She cheated on me... But I have another one lined up!” That way they won’t bother you with it, and at the same time see the futility of it.

Me, I’m a calm guy just looking for peace and quiet. I love long hikes through the wilderness alone, and when I’m at home I tend my garden, work with programming and just enjoy studying whatever arouses my fancy.

When you get into later twenties, if you actually focus on your studies and work like a typical Indian, you'll be in a much better place than any of the hot thots you see when you're young. Get a good job, make good money, nice car, nice apartment.
