How come there is such a gap, or should I say gulf, in terms of the difference between a couple (guy and girl) in online dating, compared to real life dating?

In real life, over 95% of the couples I see are more or less in the same league. That means more or less they are equally physically attractive. When you see a couple in real life there is seldom a surprise in terms of "how did he get her, or how did she get him."

However, on online dating, there is a much greater gap: the man is always much, much better looking than the girl. And for that reason, it never develops into a relationship, so they are not an actual couple. The guy just stays with her temporarily, it could be one day, a few weeks, maaaaaybe a few months, as a FWB relationship, no an actual relationship. In some cases he uses her as a "back up" for "on demand sex" whenever he breaks up with his actual girlfriends, or if he is having a dry spell.

This is because he has no incentive to become the boyfriend of a girl much less attractive than himself, when he can get better. So he just uses her for easy, on demand sex.

Now what I said is consistent with basic economics. Supply and demand. It is just common sense. There is no surprise about it.

But where the surprise lays is how come women do not understand this basic logic? I have personally seen thousands of women who passed intro to microeconomics. I know for a fact that the overwhelming majority of women passed grade 1 math, and they know that the answer to 1+1 is 2. Heck, I personally know many women who are doctors and lawyers. So they are not suffering from an IQ deficiency. So they DO have the capability to understand this level of logic. Yet when it comes to dating, they, for some strange reason, cannot apply "1+1=2" logic to this unique situation. This absolutely baffles me. I mean if you see the color blue on a paper card which is blue, when your teacher in grade 1 is teaching you the colors, and then you see a blue Popsicle, and someone asks you what color is that Popsicle, you should be able to apply what you learned to a unique context: you should be able to tell that the Popsicle is blue, even though it is a Popsicle and not a paper card, which is what was originally used to show you the color blue.

So I don't understand how women can complete medical school but still fail to complete this rudimentary logical task of applying what they learned to unique situations. I have seen women apply their knowledge to other unique situations, but with dating, they are incapable of it. It is very, very strange to me.

I just don't understand it. How can a women who completes medical school display this kind of faulty logic:

Women's logic: in real life, if I want to be in a relationship, I cannot be with someone in a higher league than me in terms of physical attraction; however, once I utilize an electronic device and use online dating, the rules of real life will magically change, and I will be able to lock down a guy several leagues above me in terms of physical attraction. Even though I have to date never seen any couple that is consistent with this expectation in real life, I believe that I will magically become the first woman on earth to pull this off, so I will reject all guys in my league, and only go on dates with guys several leagues above me and expect them to settle for me on the basis of black magic, which is logically equivalent to claiming that 1+1=3. I now believe 1+1=3. When I study for my medical school stuff, I will stop believing in 1+1=3 and again think that 1+1=2.

Literally WTF? I am really interested to know how this phenomenon can happen in the female mind. It is actually fascinating. I don't know, maybe I am missing something, but by virtue of knowing 1+1=2, I can tell when a behavior is consistent with 1+1=3, or 1+1=elephant.5, or 1+1= black piranha twice removed. Basically, gibberish/non-logic. Maybe someone can explain this to me. Maybe it is some kind of 4k chess I don't understand.

I just don't understand, the only girls on online dating who give me (and all the other non super muscular guys I talked to, online and real life) a chance are those several leagues under me. Whenever I date a girl who is close to me in terms of looks, I never, ever get a 2nd date. Even though there is no difference in terms of how the date goes with them and the less attractive girls: all my dates go well. So the independent variable can only be "her level of physical attraction." And that directly influences the dependent variable "whether she will give me a 2nd date or not." Yet, every time I am returning home from these dates, I see no less than dozens of couples holding hands on the street, the guy and girl being equal in terms of looks. So how come none of these girls I meet online give me a chance despite the fact that they are equal with me in terms of looks? The independent variable HERE would be "whether you met the girl through online dating or real life" and the dependent variable would be "whether she ends up as your girlfriend or not." Of all those guys holding hands with girls on their own level in real life, none of them met them through online dating.

So based on the scientific method, and also consistent with 1+1=2 logic, everything I said appears to be correct. Which would mean that by virtue of factual logic, women lack the ability to apply rudimentary levels of logic to this situation: dating. It really baffles me. I would be interested if anybody has a scientifically plausible explanation for this strange phenomenon.
