10 hours (i.e. 600 minutes) edited down to under 2 minutes (i.e. that's less than 1/300th or < 0.33% of the actual video she claims* to have shot) in order to create the "effect" she (actually "they" since there is apparently a "director", etc) desired.

One wonders just how boring and uneventful, un-remark-able, the remaining 9 hours and 58 minutes would be.

Because 2 minutes worth of edited video from 10 hours worth -- that's like shooting in a desert every day for basically a whole year in order to obtain the ONE single rainy day... and then posting it and proclaiming that it rains there all the time.

Nonsense.

This is equivalent to fraud (especially since it is being used to solicit funds).

*Note that this is the claim -- that she only did this on ONE day; it ignores the fact that she (they, the "team" at this organization) almost certainly spent significant time in advance "researching" this (via trial runs etc) in order to identify which specific parts of New York City she would need to walk through in order to elicit that type of "attention"; as well as what kind of outfit to wear, etc. (No woman -- especially not in her age range and in a big city -- ever goes out and about without carefully selecting her clothing for a specific desired effect; and in this case, you can be certain that this too, was "researched" and several different variations were tried, until they found one that they could claim was "mundane" and yet at the same time elicited the desire responses.)

Not to mention of course that there was an additional (abnormal) component in that she was OBVIOUSLY being filmed -- IOW this is not video of just a woman "walking around New York City", this is a video of a women walking around New York City following a cameraman (and probably a camera/audio "crew", because the audio is too crisp for even just a generic GoPro camera) -- there is/was nothing "hidden" or surreptitious about that, which just by itself entirely negates the validity of the responses (it's akin to putting your thumb on a scale).

EDIT: Also, as far as I could tell (I didn't waste my time watching the whole thing again to check) but I don't think we have any idea what the back of her clothing looks like. (Is it entirely out of the question that there might be something provocative printed on the back of the shirt? Given that this is a quasi-professionally produced piece with the goal of fundraising, I would hardly be surprised if they resorted to a cheap trick like that.)

As white male who was born in and lives in South Africa I face a lot of people calling at me on the street. Many are outright threats, not any of them are polite, “have a good day”s or “god bless you”s. I wonder if these bigots would support an initiative to protect whites from blacks the same way they want to protect women from men.
