Don't worry, I saw Page and Plant in the late-90s-early-00s, and the show blew. No opening act, played for 45 minutes, never played Stairway to Heaven, cost entirely too much. The price of the show did not reflect the short session of phoning it in for a quick buck.

Most music now is highly commercialized. It's a popularity contest and that's the problem. There are some good artists out there but again it's simply to sell themselves and not about the art.

Even country is more pop. Chris Stapleton disrupted the genre for a while as well as Zac Brown.

Alternative music doesn't have a lot of good bands any more. The 90's spoiled us with a lot of good bands in the west/northwest.

Rock and Metal FTW!, here in Latin America is like everyone hears the same basic Reggaeton shit, and making honor of being full of third world countries there are some retards that blast that shit even in closed spaces like a subway.
Rant aside, here are some metal bands that nobody in the post or comments asked for, but i think are worth checking it out, Sabaton, Bury Tomorrow, Architects (a few songs of them sound leftist/are leftist, especially in the album Daybreaker), Insomnium (the music of this band is art), Crystal Lake, coldrain, The Contortionist.

Getting the Led out!!! yes! Love Led.

For modern music, I really like hip-hop, but almost none of my friends do. I'm old. They say I'm too old to listen to that music. IMO, Hip Hop is a consumer good and is disposable. You listen to a song a bunch of times, or for a week or a month then it's time to toss it away, it's crap now. Can't keep listening to old rap music. The genre almost forces you to participate and listen to new things and new sounds constantly. Which is ok by me, I like music, I like new music, and IMO its' the only genre now-a-days which is producing anything.

As far as Led and 70s music in general I like to use this as an example: Thor Ragnarok *featured* a Led Zeppelin song that is *50* years old. The movie wasn't set in the 70s, the song is just that good. For most of the young fans of that film, that song was on the charts before their parents even met. We will NOT be listening to 50 year old rap music in the future. Sadly, there will never be another Led Zeppelin.
