This divorce seems like an excellent financial planning move for Miss Heard. He's worth 400 million. She's worth maybe 10 without him? If that. He was rumored to be paid 40 million for Black Mass and 60 Million for Alice in Wonderland 2. So she's probably going to get half of that, so 50 millionish. But now to up the ante she's claiming abuse. This seems to me a blatant attempt to sweeten the deal for settlement. Less than a year and a half of marriage is going to at least quadruple her net worth, and put her into the spotlight, perhaps helping her net better roles. This is probably an attempt to get out and stay relevant and hopefully become a superstar in her own right before she gets too old.

But back to reality. Johnny Depp is 50, but he's still got a lot of blockbusters left in him. Pirates of the Carribean 5 alone should net him 60-100 million with a points on the back end deal. Amber Heard while long considered a Hollywood hottie, has never been an A lister, never been the sort of star that can carry a movie on her own, and a small role in the upcoming Justice League films isn't going to change that. She's always going to be the cheaper version of Blake Lively. She probably would have been better served by waiting a few more years before trying to fleece Depp in a divorce. But either way, she'll likely make more on this deal than she would have during her entire future acting career.

Learn from Mr. Depp's mistakes.
