It’s not difficult to understand. The optimal situation is one in which men and women have an honest mutually beneficial reason to be together and society keeps them both in check so neither crushes the other.

If every man was a MGTOW monk, the species would die.

So I can at least respect a man who is coming from a place that suggests family is healthy, but also says women have become cruel monsters and MGTOW have a damn good reason for thinking the way we do.

His thinking isn’t too different from Stephen Molyneux. That guy says a lot that MGTOW draw from even though he’s married with a kid. He even points out how shaming tactics are useless on a group of men that already anticipate every dirty trick women use and have steeled their resolve.

So regarding Jordan Peterson... let the statements alone carry their own merit. Do not fall into the trap of identifying a statement with its source. If your enemy has wisdom or a new invention is it to be tarnished without close evaluation? Or are you so close minded that you will only consider something if the source is aligned in thinking with your own?

Personally I would never yield to a MGTOW that does such a think and would rebel against it as much as feminism and everything else. Be a free thinker and find truths that are solid to help build your foundation. I will gladly take truth from someone I hate over pleasant lies from an ally

He is conservative, he has a good wife, he does not have to date or find a girl today, he did it when times were good...

Having a family is not a bad thing, the problem is that in the last 15-20 years the western women really really got downhill... no morals, no shame, no respect for men... not to mention feminist laws.

He does not know all of this, during his time half of the women still had some decency and plenty of them had marriage potential.

Right now, the western man has a very very shitty selection of mates, but that thing is known only by the teens and young adults. The older guys don't know this.

Also, the laws changed a lot since his time. Not to mention the social media frenzy and the Tinder never existed back then.

Hes not wrong that men are hardwired by evolution to derive pleasure from doing useful things for women, children and community. But why should we default to what the genes / hormonal signals want. Society has derailed pretty far from working with biology. We need to find new meaning in our lives instead of defaulting to becoming a utility thats stays so useful - its never thrown out.
