This used to vex me as a kid, even had nightmares about not fitting in. Now i only feel pity when they comment negatively (feigned banter) on my lifestyle.
The freedom of having missed out is hard to ignore. Now imma start enjoying life :) Them going through marriage/children problems seems like karmic justice, even though i do not wish them pain or anything.
Specifically since most do not recall their hurtful comments. It’s like they just did it to ease their emotions or assert their dominance as an adolescent at the time and now, decade later, seem suddenly humbled.
It is weird feeling conflicted about this now, but damn is life good at this point in time! I am looking forward to my 40s and 50s like it’s no man’s business. Meanwhile: stealth is wealth ;)
