I think it should be something everyone does not just for vanity sake but general health and well-being. Some people just don't give a fuck though.

Been working out for 20 years or more at this point.. Last winter I got sick and lost a bunch of weight for a few months. The change in how people treated me was hard to get used to

There are many reasons to stay fit.

Co-workers and clients will generally be more receptive and look upon you more favourably on a subconscious level because you look after yourself and look like you have everything together. It's good for business.

Quality of life is better and for longer. Not getting out of breath from lightly strenuous activities like going up a flight of stairs or during sex. You could also remain independent and mobile for longer in old age.

Looking good also makes you feel good. Healthy body, healthy mind. Exercising is also good at relieving stress.

It could save you money in the long run. Being fit and healthy gives your body a better chance at fighting off ailments so you're less likely to need treatments.

You don't even need to be a super athlete to achieve this. Just eat right and in moderation, stay active and keep the abdominal fat down.

Obsessively going to the gym and using machines is one of the most vain, most insipid wastes of time going. Get out and go cycling, surfing, rock climbing, whatever. MGTOW means being cool and enjoying life, not just sweating in a room full of other norms for some twisted idea of 'the perfect body'. After all, we are not women!!!

I'm in my 40s, and many men my age at work have large bellies. It's nice to have a smaller belly than most. I get more credibility that way than holding a huge gut and breathing heavy when I talk to a group.

No, you will lose enjoyment very quickly if you are out of shape. You can't do as much, you can't last as long, your body will ache more.

Be fit. There's no downside to it, sex or no sex.

Fuck other people's judgment but if you can use their assumptions or perceptions to manipulate them to your benefit, know that and use it.

I think health is the most precious asset you have. If you want to gain strength, lose weight and get more confidence try boxing. I personally never experienced something more hard than that.

It makes you feel alive, its one of the best things you can do for yourself. Men out of shape look pathethic and most probably feel so body and mind are linked.

I went back to the gym because I've realized life is nothing more than low-intensity warfare with no place for weakness, physical or mental, thus following the old adage :"Si vis pacem, para bellum"

Getting eventually laid every once in a while is nothing but a perk, not the main goal, as far as I'm concerned.
