My dad married a girl from the Philippines.

She got to Canada after he paid the shipping and handling

Kept him broke buying anything tacky. He finally had to declare bankruptcy so I ended up buying his house to keep him in there.

She stayed with him in Canada for 20 years (no cheating, worked every day, house spotless) and they have now both moved to the Philippines to retire.

Last time I spoke to him on the phone, she'd filled their place with junk and now they're broke. They had to move to a smaller place and now he's talking about returning to Canada

Straight and honest. No real opinion on the situation other than it's not all bad, but it's not all great either.

Mail-order brides, or buy a bride are the worst.

They're not the humble girls you think they are.

They're the ones who know how society truly values women and simply seek to market themselves better than the average women by basically auctioning themselves out to the highest bidder.

If you want to date/marry a foreign woman that isn't corrupted, then move to Eastern Europe or Asia and stay there married to her. Be a mail order husband and see how that works out for you

I have a 5 friends who found women over seas and married. One marriage didn't work out, but the others are all still together. (Before you ask: Costa Rica, Brazil, Switzerland, Czech, and Vietnam. The one from Brazil cheated.)

(Note: none of these were 'mail order brides', just women they met outside of the US and therefore unpoisoned with failed ideologies.)

I have some experience with this. Living in the Philippines for about ten years now and have seen most everything.

Mail order, strictly speaking, is probably the worst choice to get the right kind of woman. Mail order will probably be coached on how to fuck you over, by years of being a bar girl or by the agency itself. You are basically saying you are rich and stupid by ordering a mail order bride.

I went through quite a few girls before I found the right one. Being strong enough to send them away when they start causing problems is crucial. Be willing to be alone from time to time.

I have a great girl now. Straight from the province from a family of farmers. Not well educated but street smart and very tough, both physically and mentally. She doesn't really know how to spend money I handle all of the finances. I make all of the decisions about what we spend and take responsibility for both of us like a real man. I have trained her to do exactly what I like in bed and she seems to enjoy it. She's half my age and will probably take care of me when I am too old and fucked up to do for myself. I put her through some very rigorous testing for more than a year before I let her move in, including openly fucking other women. I pay all of the bills and she does all of the housework. She never complains about anything and seems very happy with her good luck in living with me. She feels like a princess in a fairy tale. She is less than half my size but drinks the same as me when we go out, and makes sure I stumble home to the right bed sometimes. It's been four years. I have zero plans to marry her and if she changes her ways I will get another girl in about ten minutes.

That's the kind of woman I finally found after years of effort and some luck. Wish I had gone looking in the province sooner.

I had to teach myself how to work online and leave my old western life behind. It was mostly bullshit anyway and I really feel for you guys that think you are stuck there. You're not stuck. Get a passport and travel cheap. There are still women like that in Asia.

I'm happy now and have definitely gone my own way. I am a free man with a worthy woman in her natural role serving me. Wouldn't trade the journey for anything in the world and I can't wait to see what will happen tomorrow.

I looked into this a long time ago. The company had a call in time to ask questions. I would ask about divorce rates and their answer was they don't track that.

They also use to call into the Philippines to let the men talk to whoever was there. Liked to see what they would say when I tell them it's zero degrees outside today.

I met a woman 7 years younger than me from the Philippines. Been married a short time, have a kid with her. They speak English there. Not everyone is fluent, but many are. It's a required subject in their schools. Cultural differences are there, but I don't really care. You might however. She has the mindset of a traditional woman you could have found in the west around 1960 or 1970. She keeps the house clean and doesn't demand too much. Haven't been married all that long, so it could change, but I'd be surprised as she has given no indication of being selfish. Quite the contrary in that aspect.

She got pregnant pretty fast so she didn't get a job here like she wanted. She's thrilled doing the mommy thing. She doesn't complain about her life doing chores and dealing with baby the way my first wife did. Or the way many American women do. She doesn't ask me to do housework. But she sure wants me to hold/feed the baby and give her a break. She has never asked me to get up in the middle of the night however. I sleep well.

She's not really submissive. She has opinions, however she just chooses to be passive about most things. Not everything however. Life is harder with her than an American woman in one aspect. She expects me to lead. You can't half ass some things and expect her to pick up the slack. I think guys can get get lazy with American women since they often are busy trying to micromanage everything.

Feminism doesn't seem to have taken hold in that country in a big way. Women work and can be professional, but my observation is that there is women's work and men's work out in the countryside. I'm not sure about typical family life in the big cities.

Now some warnings. In the process of finding my wife I ran across other woman who told lies. Such as having kids, or were chatting with other men. Some were scamming for money. Some seemed desperately poor and I don't see how you could ever know if a woman in dire poverty was marrying you for you or just for to escape. I don't have experience one way or another to know if that is risky. I met many American men here locally with wives from the Philippines. You get pulled into that community I suppose. The men I've seen look content or happy. Intact and stable families are the norm.

Guys on this thread are gonna tell you lotsa things. Based on what exactly I don't know. I'm telling you what I observed.

If you want a woman you can boss around I don't think it's going to work out for you. She can just divorce your ass. If you want to treat a woman from a non western country well, you could have success. But you'd have to do your homework to make a wise and informed decision on who to pick. Gold diggers are out trolling for guys looking to snag a foreign wife.
