First half of 20th century and before. No safety nets, fault divorce. Divorce rate was 1%.
So 59% of divorce is hypergamy and bastardry.

Pre 1950,prior to 1950 children were seen as property and automatically went to the father,by 1950 it was effectively reversed and by 1980 it was pretty much garanteed the woman got the kids.

Kinda have to agree.... I guess they don't want financial reasons to be a barrier. Or could be like my stbx.on paper makes almost nothing but has rich family, will be living ina. Fully paid house and will be getting child support from a dad who will be living in q basement just scraping by. Some type of alimony payment as well although may be considered part of the house and paid already

To remind people it was illegal for a man to receive child support up till the 90s in most states. If you asked for it. They would give your kids to her and give her child support. Men got custody when women left to party. At any point if they came back they got custody back.
