It actually means "wickedness"or "adultery", according to a Chinese dictionary. I don't know if that makes it any better It's actually interesting that 女means woman. 㚣means pretty, cunning. 姦 means wicked and adultery.

Japanese has many curious interpretations of the kanjis and their radicals, although the kanjis themselves come from China. I'm studying japanese right now, still a noob though but here are some kanjis I like:

安 used for 安全 or 安い, basically means safety or cheap, the radicals are roof and women.

A basic mnemonic to remember this is like: Women under the roof are cheap! (Since they aren't out to spend money)

妬む is jealousy, which is comprised of the radicals: Woman and Stone, like women are jealous of the stones (jewelry) of others.

奥さん is a word to refer to a wife, and 奥 basically means interior, like the person who stays in the interior of the house.
