You dont get it.

I'm a single father of a 5 year old boy. It took me 2 years to get custody- despite having extensive documentation and video/audio evidence that she was a danger to her self and others, and was abusive to our son. Hell, she had 2 51/50s on record... that didnt the judge from repeatedly giving her chances while my son suffered.

When my son was 3, I dated a woman who was extremely successful, and well-known in our industry. Ivy league educated and had a sterling reputation with people I've known and trusted for years.

Turns out she has BPD. When I tried breaking up with her, she flipped. She called the studio I worked at and told them I was on drugs (I wasnt). She called the police and told them I was suicidal around my kid (i wasnt), 2 police officers did a wellness check at my door. She wanted me to get fired and or arrested.

This woman, who in her social circles is considered a 10/10... did not hesitate to jeopardize my career, and transitively my sons life. It didnt matter to her that her little freakout could have had repercussions that affected my sons well being deeply.

I'm lucky. Imagine if she told people I assaulted her, or raped her. Holy shit.

So where does that leave me? Dating is walking into a minefield. Even if I find a 10/10, successful businesswoman, ivy leaguer, published author, with a pristine community reputation... she might be harboring a mental illness that ends up destroying my life, and thereby my sons.

Dating, for a man in my position, is flat out irresponsible.

Now please, tell me why I should risk my sons future just for some pussy
