TRP is a great resource to learn about the true nature of women.
Its fantastic. I can't say enough good things about it.
I think over time, many younger TRP guys will see the light and become MGTOW. But, we live in a world filled with females and we need to know how to interact with them. At work, for some in church, and all around us. We need that RP knowledge even if we are not chasing women.

TRP and MGTOW are pretty much one and the same. To me MGTOW is the end game of TRP knowledge.
I think TRP appeals to a younger audience with a higher sex drive because it allows them to fulfill a desire they have to have sex.
MGTOW appeals to an older audience because as men age their sex drives decrease and when you have a decreased sex drive you can finally focus on more important things than just women.

agree. I can confirm. I read Warren Farrell's book "Why Men are the Way They Are" when it first came out in 1986 and it crystallized every thing I suspected. I was only 27 and this was before "red pill" and the internet. But I still loved sex and the company of women, I just knew I would never get married.
But over time I became less focused on women and more on my own freedom and independence. After age 50 the decline in sex drive (I was high libido in my 20's to 40's) totally changed the picture. When the drive diminishes women look totally different and it becomes clear just what slaves basic biology makes men into. If only we could educate young men on the reality of this. There is no reason for them to avoid women and forego satisfying their sexual drive but why cant we give them a fighting chance by enlightening them to the basic brutal truths. Of course, women, TPTB, capitalism, etc. is dead set against this as it would really disrupt our consumerist society and all sorts of special interests.

No we are not even close to being the same.
TRP are female attention seeking women worshippers who have no reason to exist without smashing chicks out.
Funny thing is I probably get laid more than they do and I don't care, try, or look for it. Comes to me.

I browse TRP every now and then and I see it as scratching the surface of our problems. Most guys there are vying for a return to a strong patriarchy thinking that's what will fix everything. They don't quite understand that even in a patriarchy women hold a vast amount of power in different ways. It's just part of a cycle that will eventually return to feminism. Mention gynocentrism over there and most will cock their heads in ignorance.

This is where MGTOW is superior to red pill guys.
This is still a gynocentric lens. Comparing yourself to other men in an attempt to ascertain superiority is a female-centered point of view. You are still allowing the motivation to reproduce drive your judgment calls. "Who has the biggest dick around here? Well, obviously it's me!"
We need to let go of these comparisons. MGTOW/TRP are not groups. MGTOW/TRP are not "tribes" that you belong to. You don't sign up and play racquetball with MGTOW/TRP on the weekends. That is an overly simplified worldview, and part of why we have common misunderstandings. MGTOW is a philosophy. You apply the tenants of MGTOW to your ethic, and live in accordance with those values.
Nobody is better than anybody here. Furthermore, you don't "join" MGTOW. You live it. Believing that you've ascended above other people by "joining" MGTOW is simply another form of bandwagon-ism, which is not going-your-own-way at all. It's taking solitude in the superiority of the collective, which is a form of insecurity. That's not MGTOW.

I've always thought TRP was just a different way of desperately seeking female validation. Not that there's anything wrong with that, necessarily.
Just because it's not something we value doesn't mean it doesn't hold value for others.

I think you're missing the political part of red pill which is 99% of it, it wasn't until a bunch of of horny retards made a subreddit dedicated to "beating the feminist system" that the meaning changed (and it only changed here)

Do we need to have a pissing contest here?
I mean, I learned a TON out of reading TRP, including pure gold nuggets out of the comments. And somehow I also love MGTOW. At times, I'm afraid of it and where it leads me, but this is the path I've been avoiding since I was a teenager.
Going your own way is really going YOUR.OWN. way. Yours. What (and why) do you care about TRP, TBP, SJW... you live your life, DGAF about what anyone, and I mean anyone think of you, your life, your lifestyle, your choices.

The red pill never appealed to me. I discovered mgtow before I found trp and my god is mgtow superior. It just clicked. Mgtow honestly feels like something I ALREADY AM but forgot how to be. TRP feels like something I never was but now have to attain. I'll choose mgtow for 400 trebeck.
[–]yourmommysnightmare2 points3 points4 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
they're both just choices, I think it comes down to MGTOW thinking shit's happening too often & too unpredictably for me to pretend It can't/won't happen to me
while RP-ers think "it will not happen to me" for whatever reason (I'm special or I'll be lucky or I can take precautions or I'll be so alpha the beeyotch will never think of abusing me) OR "it's worth the risks".

TRP is for guys who are lead by their crotch. These are young guys who chase tail. Once the sex drive cools off and the big head does the thinking, that's when these Red pillers start thinking MGTOW.

I've disovered TRP in twilight years of my marriage. It helped me to understand. Anger and hate were great motivators. Banging girls half my age, c'mon 18-20 yo pussy was great. But then I've slowly become.... indifferent. I've realized what is important in life. I have finally discovered the way. It might not be the right way. But it is MY way.
I'm learning. I'm growing. I watch the world stumble step by step towards the edge of the cliff. I wait for the inevitable fall when the veneer of civilization breaks and I will be free again, unbound by laws of others.

I mean if life is all a game who is to say the what TRP does is wrong? Personally it's not for me as casual sex feels empty to me. Doing what I want feels more fulfilling.
But for those that enjoy it? Let them. It's like how some people like to chase money and get fast cars, and then there's me that just wants enough to be comfortable. This is just a ride, so to each their own!

TRP is TBP with window dressing
[–]nigelh1 point2 points3 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
TRP labours to understand the game to play it better and avoid the cost.
MGTOW sees the game for what it is and declines to play having something better to do.

Their goal of "slaying pussy" clouds the big picture of being secure in who they are and the life goals they want to accomplish.
Says who?
Whether pussy is involved or not. MGTOW can have a notch count but it's not needed to boost morale or feel better about one's self.
How is this exclusive to MGTOW?
MGTOW choose to allow women in their world but are not a necessity.
Again, how is this exclusive to MGTOW?

Companionship? Oh yeah. Can I see more pictures of your kids...... Can I get the newsletter?
[–]CaptainStardust0 points1 point2 points 10 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I see TRP and PUA as being connected. The whole point is to "be alpha" and "keep frame" to get pussy. Too many douchebags fighting over who is more alpha than the other.
MGTOW is more all-encompassing. You can choose to do PUA or anything else you want.
Personally I've never had much of a sex drive, and I'm only 26. Women have become somewhat invisible to me. For the most part they have nothing useful to offer me, and even if I found one interesting, I know that women have virtually no interest in actual friendship, especially with a guy they don't want to fuck.
Serious question: Do girls friend zone anymore? It seems like they always have so many options for dating / sex that they don't even bother to friend zone. Either you're a Chad or you aren't worth talking to do.
