I spoke about this topic within another post earlier last week and was asked by another MGTOW user to make a full post on the subject - this is more than likely only going to be relevant to those MGTOW folk who are religious, or at least open to it - just FYI

We are all familiar with the concept of Monk Mode in the MGTOW community - and while there is a lot to be said about living monk mode in the world - which I am doing as we speak - there are more tangible ways to live actual monk mode. After I was made aware, in brutal fashion, of the truth of female nature, I decided to take some time and go live in a monastery - specifically an Orthodox Christian monastery. There are real benefits to taking monk mode to this level.

  1. Real separation from the world, and all it's modernist atrocities
  2. Learning discipline and mastery, even if only to a small degree, over your impulses
  3. Living among men who are also, though they would not use the acronym, MGTOW themselves. I can not stress how beneficial it was to learn from lifelong single men how to navigate the solo life. I also learned that they are HAPPY as such.

Many Orthodox monasteries in the USA and likely around the world are struggling to find good candidates to be a part of their brotherhood. I really think that the growth of the MGTOW movement and men checking out of the game in general could be a real opportunity for many MGTOW to explore the option of actually being a monk. I have attached a video from CBS about Mt Athos in Greece, which is a small island populated with orthodox christian monasteries. It is, in many ways, the spiritual center of orthodox monasticism and as such thought it would be a good primer on the subject.
