I've never heard of them hating eachother. There's no reason they would. You pretty much summed it up. MRAs want to fix systemic inequality, and MGTOWs don't want to be manipulated /controlled by their girlfriends/wives.

The original founders of MGTOW (Zed the Zen Priest, Ragnar Jensen, Meikyo, Solaris, etc.) were MRA advocates. Zed has been stated to be a close friend of Paul Elam, the current go to guy for MRA.

In fact, most of them still are still MRA which is why you don't hear shit from them.

At its inception, some 12 years ago, MGTOW, was a Men's Rights offshoot.

MGTOW.com, was originally menforjustice.net.

Since then, MGTOW has taken on a life of its own.

Being further infused by other philosophies, most seemingly the Book of Pook, written by a former pickup artist, Pook, who saw how fruitless it was to be Chad.

Pook, in my opinion, has had a more lasting impact, since he invented the whole PUA Monk Mode.

They do not hate each other. Their methods might be different but the goals are pretty much the same....

We don't hate each other, but the MRA subreddit on this site has been taken over by feminists, so it's not a real MRA sub anymore.

The fundamental difference between MRAs and MGTOWs is that MRAs believe there is still room to negotiate so they aim to change the law. MGTOWs know this is a lost cause and the only way to win is to walk away and not play the game.

I think sometimes MRA's look at us and say "Hey! Help me charge this machine gun nest against overwhelming odds! We'll die in a blaze of glory!" And we're like "nah, this is a no win scenario. I'd rather just walk off the battlefield". Just like BP that get pissed when they see us being free and happy.

In essence you got it. MRA try to change the society, MGTOW choose to opt out as much as possible.

For me, MRA are just fooling themselves thinking they will change anything... We, as a society, always put women first. Always, even when women pretend they were taken advantage of. It was always men who killed themselves gaining ressources while women were at home rearing the children and doing easier housework. Yes women used to have less rights, but they were the protected class who didn't need the rights men had to protect their family. And to be fair, for the most part of history, very few men really had power and rights, only the upper class. As soon as our society became safe for women to live by themselves, we (men) gave them all the rights (but almost none of the obligation: no draft for instance...).

MRA are activists. MGTOWs aren't.

You basically can't call yourself both as it doesn't make sense.

MGTOW have a basic philosophy when it comes with how to deal with women. MRA's don't.

You can support either side, and most MGTOWs support MRA's from what I've seen. But it's a passive support. I can't speak for how MRAs see MTGOW.
