Hello

I’ve been lurking here for a while now, and everything I’ve read got me slowly changing my mind of marriage . Well my GF isn’t too happy about that.

So the story is that I use to be gun ho on marriage and having kids like it was written in stone. I got a GF (dating for a year and a few months now) that wants kids so badly that it’s a deal breaker if she doesn’t have any. In any case, I do everything for this girl. So much that I only get about 3 to 4 hours of sleep daily cause I’m driving her everywhere after my graveyard (to work, to school, etc.)

We got in this huge argument one day that I haven’t stop thinking about it to this day. She told me she was going out with this guy (we’ll name him John) and that they were only old friends. As the guy I am I agreed and told her to go for it.

So the next morning she texts me saying she had a great time. Went out to eat, the park, bowling, and shit like that. Then all hell broke lose when she told me she had to tell me something. She told me that he made her feel more like a women and he cared more than I did because he did one thing....he gave her his fucking jacket that he left in the car for her when it was cold at the park. (Im not joking).

Of course being me I was upset that she would even say something like that considering I’m the one driving her around everywhere and running my car mileage up for her. She then continued to say I don’t listen to her and she can’t tell me anything without me getting upset. This argument has been on my mind since it happened.

She said she will continue to see her friend.

(Advice time) tell me, was I in the wrong or should I be concerned about this? I’m very confused.
