If you son is almost an adult why do you say you will never see again.He will visit you or may come with you.He is not a baby to put him in a corner by his mother.

Nobody can stop a young man seeing or staying with his father.In family courts teenagers are asked by the judge with whom they want to live with.

The least she should do is go to therapy. If she doesn't want to do it, I think you should stop the relationship. If your son is almost an adult you will have the chance to see him as often as he's willing to and his mother can't really do anything about that. You have the right to be happy so just tell her that something needs to change or your gone. If she doesn't listen to you talking, write her a letter. But tell her.

Happiness comes from within you, not from the people you're tied to. Don't make the mistake of thinking that you need to be in a relationship to be happy.

We don't have enough information to give good advice because the world is more complicated than can be summarised in a Reddit post. However if the only thing keeping you really is your child, and that child is nearly an adult, then once he turns 18 there's no custody or restrictions to be had.
