This is exactly what I was talking about in the American woman thread. That girls today glamorize depression and playing the victim. It’s completely normal to do this today.
Here is a girl, who is clearly not attractive and has never been considered attractive compared to her peers. I’m sure she’s well aware of this because if she was, she’d never post such an unflattering photo.
But it works the same! Social media has been able to give these types of girls the type of attention they need through pity parties. Why work for a flat stomach and spend 2 hours doing fake up when you can get the same attention and worship posting a photo of you being miserable and sad?
And she’s definitely hoping men will slide into her DMs and “save her”! Damsel in distress! Where is my white knight! My Prince Charming who will put me on the back of his horse and take me to his castle and give me what I deserve!
Meanwhile she’s probably upset because she just got that bad haircut.

I've been noticing this more and more. I got a girlfriend and sometimes she'll be fuckin around on Tik Tok bored out of her mind (because it's not my fuckin job to entertain you 24/7) and she'll watch these short skits called "pov" videos. Almost every single video has the same theme, that of being some "tragic ending" or "drama-filled fantasy". And all of them are produced and ran by women. It's like story telling with a hint of soft roleplay. Shit like "we as sisters listen to a song but then it reminds us of our abusive dad and how he killed our mother" non-existant bullshit. It's like it's a way for them to fabricate victim-status out of thin air from something that never happened. I've seen my girlfriend get emotional over it too.
I think Tik Tok is a foundational piece of media for women nowadays who want/crave drama (all women) and attention via creating false narratives as if they were the star of their own shitty tragedy. It's pathetic.

To have a gigantic hole inside you, one so big you dedicate yourself to it. You illustrate and convey it in ways that it utterly captivates millions. Millions of ears. Millions of hearts. And yet, still, like a star collapsing on itself, they are eaten by it. Needlessly. Senselessly.
Sure each of them had their own circumstances regarding their passing, but all of them suffered the same affliction - they had no one to guide them. No one that personally understood not only them, but the path they walked. Why, why wasnt someone there? Maybe an Ice-T or Zack De La Rocha for X? A fuckin Anthony Green or Jesse Lacey for Peep?
