Is that "still a virgin" supposed to be praise or shame? Because the way I see it, his turning down a woman's proposition for sex in this case implies that either

he's not letting a woman have sexual power over him
he's not desperate, so maybe he's attractive / appealing enough to not worry that he'll never have sex if he doesn't say "yes" ASAP
he has standards / personal values about the quality of his partners

and / or

he has better things to do and isn't interested in women's shit

Whichever it is, it doesn't seem like a fail to me
