Lots of people are testing positive for covid, it's true (we'll pass 19 million today). But some of those positive tests are false-positives. And most of the people who are infected are asymptomatic. Most of those who have symptoms have a mild case. And finally, for that minority who require medical intervention, yes, the disease is indeed deadly (CFR in the US peaked at 6.1% in May and is currently 1.7% and still falling).

But guess what the current state-of-the-art treatment is for serious cases? It's intubation obviously, but specifically it's "low tidal volume" intubation which studies show does the least damage to your lungs. But this is very, very uncomfortable, so they induce a coma.

So the patients in these hospitals spend most of their time unconscious. And that's why the nurses have so much free time.

And that's why you can have both "zomg the number of infected is skyrocketing!!! it's a war zone!!!" while at the same time, nurses are twerking.

I don't think even WW2 veterans had so much propaganda made about them, and they never asked for any of it either. This is only a pandemic, imagine if another World War breaks out. These women won't even volunteer for nursing duty for the wounded.

I’ve worked at three hospitals and about 3/4s of nurses weigh as much as a Harley. It’s a running joke. The other 1/4 are either fugly, married or a super thot only into Chads, Tyrones, or after a doctor.

I worked at a nursing home for 6 years and I can tell you the CNAs do EVERYthing. The nurses just hand out meds and smoke cigarettes.

I think at College, everyone was banging a nurse. I did. She told me there's a schedule for the rooms, we had to book with the other nurses on Monday after the room schedules came out, or we play it by ear when my parents weren't at home. Good times.
