I don't really subscribe to the idea that middle aged or elderly people are wiser than younger ones. However, I do think some of us have been able to synthesize and reflect on our experiences in a way that makes us manage complexities in a way that helps us navigate things well. For example, I am less emotionally reactive, less naive, manage stress better, and laugh at myself a bit more.

But older men like to tell me they are wiser than me and I need to stop acting like I know everything especially when it comes to marriage and life decisions. Because they're older they know more about life and I should listen to them.

I was the same up until i got a little older and i realised that i didnt know shit. I think back on all those deep conversations i had with people and i laugh because alot of it was just basic stuff but at the time i thought it was like this eye opening revolutionary mindset.

Older people are really unimpressed with your experience. That is because they thought about that or had that conversation when they were young. Im older than you so i know most likely i know more than you just by sheer experience. You don't know shit.

I'm not going to listen to you and get married just because you're older than me and told me it's the best for me. Do older people ever question the blue pill? Older people are smarter because they don't understand statistics and think divorce doesn't apply to them. Older people are wiser because they sacrificed their life for society. Does every man realize all roads lead to MGTOW? You can't just assume society is right about everything.

I know you're not trying to be a "smartass" and you're trying to be humble, but trust me, you're not as "smart" as you think you are, and others aren't as "stupid" as you think they might be. All these conversations you have with people, you're assuming that you had some higher knowledge to give them. Most people also have the same thoughts as you might have, and you may not have taught them anything at all that they didn't already know. You may even have been coming across as a know-it-all, and maybe that's why they didn't take things further. Try letting go of the mindset that you have where you think you have anything to offer people in terms of eye opening existential idea's.

If I don't get married I must be stupid because I don't realize how smart getting married is. I was trying to talk about some conclusion I reached and some guy was like we all had these thoughts you're thoughts are not that unique. If you are so wise because you're older why did you get divorced raped? Why did you waste your life on the plantation?
