I say "Nay" on several grounds:

(1) The behaviors you start with when dating set the tone for all future interactions.

(2) Never, ever, ever let yourself look desperate to please; that is an absolute disaster.

(3) Self-respect is a lot more important than dipping your wick, so you should start by treating her almost exactly parallel to the way she treats you. Any generosity that she does not instinctively reciprocate is exploitation. If you're buying the food, what is she doing?
