Powerlifting or bodybuilding?

In my opinion, and despite powerlifting being more "fun", bodybuilding is more balanced, yields better results, and is less prone to injury.

You can always mix your program, for example, do bodybuilding two days in each week with a day between for powerlifting or even olympic weightlifting. The most important thing is to begin with a good working knowledge of the lifts (a plethora of forums and videos is available online) so you can optimize the results and minimize the risks. If you can get inspired enough, it becomes a healthy lifestyle, as it can make you cook healthier meals, sleep better, and overall take a better care of your body. Not that I don't respect powerlifting as I know it can be extremely challenging and technically demanding, but it's easier to just "eat everything and lift heavy", so I recommend everyone begins with an informed and disciplined fitness program first, and after good habits are set, then evolve to a more "specialized" sport if one so wishes.

Powerlifting is too hard on the body and causes injuries and unnecessary wear and tear.

Bodybuilding will give you the feel good chemical releases in your brain that you’re looking for, you don’t need to lift super heavy, focus on good form and time under tension etc. And over time you will build an impressive physique that will command respect in social situations and will be attractive to women allowing you to pump and dump if you desire. I have a saying: “I don’t lift so girls will say yes to me, I lift so that I can say no to them.”

Powerlifters look like shit. The top guys look like fat slobs, and most normie powerlifters u can’t even tell if they lift when they’re in street clothes. They can move impressive weight in the gym but that’s really the only setting where they will receive any social value for their talents. Bodybuilding has many more real world benefits. Even just for your own psychology, when you look good, you feel good and you will be more confident,

Neither. Both give you "gym body" which you only need at gym. Then you look like a frog.
