Tom Leykis once had a divorce lawyer on the show. It seems like there are a lot of ways you can make the prenup null. Best to not get married, you will retain a lot more control that way.

If there isn't a nup you don't need a prenup- but if you must commit financial suicide- ensure she has her own lawyer paid with her own money review and approve it

Listen. Looks like you are the one who needs a Pre-nup here, which is why you are asking. That means you are considering marriage and are going to go through with it. Pre-nups are not secure. They don't stop her from making false statements to cops to keep your kids away and get you locked up when she decides to fuck chad....and she will one day decide to fuck chad. Prenups are not set in stone.

There was a lawyer in TV here in Australia talking about them recently and said they cost about $8k to set up. Ridiculous.

You need to at least present it to her 1 calendar year prior to marriage. Preferably longer if you are engaged. Don't get engaged prior to prenup. Make sure she has her lawyer look at it and make sure you get legal confirmation for her lawyer. Make sure the prenup doesn't contravene any laws.

Lastly prenup will fail.
