A little while ago I asked what a 17 Year old MGTOW guy should know before heading off to college. After getting accepted to UT Dallas (the third highest ranked school for biomedical engineering, my major) I've been looking into what kind of money I'm going to be spending to get a degree. What kind of investments I should make so that I'm not swimming in debt when I graduate, what I can do to cut down costs of things like food and housing, and probably the most important what kind of experience I can get in the market before I graduate. So far I'm working off a few ideas. Living in a van or some such vehicle, beginning a stocks and bonds portfolio (no idea how to do that though), finding some lab to intern in. A few problems with the internship though. Some background before that. The lab I want to work for is in Austin. (Dad owns the company so as long as I get the degree I've got the job) but unless I do a 2-3 hour commute every day I wont be getting much out of an internship there. I'm looking into labs in the Dallas area, but I'm not sure what I should be looking for besides that. How do I proceed from here?
