Heart disease cases are highly correlated with obesity. And the correlation between cancer and obesity is about 40%. But shh! we're not supposed to talk about women's bodies. Check your junk folder for the memo outlining 'sexy at any size'.

Feminists are useful idiots. Or useless ones depending on how you look at it.
[–]11SOCK22 points23 points24 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
I had no idea there were half a million abortions a year. No wonder all Western countries are sliding towards negative replacement rates.
[–]fearganfadhb6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I don't feel that strongly against abortion but I found that figure quite disturbing.
[–]lollipoopex2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
We never feel that strongly about things that can only happen to others, so that is that.
[–][deleted] 5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
It would be several million annually if contraceptives didnt exist.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abortion_statistics_in_the_United_States
It should be less than 100,000 a year if women weren't retarded with birth control.

You are also accepting that the females who say something akin to: "Oopsie, I must have forgotten to take my pill that DAY!"* are giving an honest** presentation of facts.
* Hint #1: BC pills really don't work that way. The oestrous/menstrual cycle does not "instantly" reboot/restart and then progress as if "everything was normal" as a result of missing one of a series of ~21 "active ingredient" daily doses (which BTW are generally "megadoses" since they're a standardized commodity product). Other methods (contraceptive patches, etc) are even LESS subject to the one day "Oops I forgot!" claim.
** Hint #2: Women are just as [dis]honest about the number & cause of BC pills they "skipped" as they are about their number of prior partners, or the number, reason & cause of the times they cheated, to wit:
it was totally an accident...
See she just met him for a quick frappaccino {and to talk about 'quantum mechanics' & the 'sociological impacts of it on inner city youth in Asia'} at the coffee shop, and she just "slipped"on a banana peel...
Which caused her panties to fall off ... AND (somehow) as a result of the same banana... she also just accidentally slid right out of the coffee shop...
And into the hotel across the street, and then she just coincidentally landed with her vagina perfectly aligned with Chad's fully erect penis (who, apparently having slipped on the same banana peel while trying to catch her -- had somehow lost his pants & underwear, and slid in front of and ahead of her all the way into a bed in that 3rd floor hotel room)...
Oh and he like totally like 'raped' her too (he must have put something into that frappaccino!); so it totally wasn't her fault... (which of course is why she met him there 2 more times that week, and 3 days a week, every week for next 6 months. {Those banana peels are REALLY dangerous!})
a) LIE about being on birth control.
b) purposefully try to get pregnant with a baby (from "Chad" or "Jody" et al) -- in an attempt to "baby-trap" one of them, but by the time they actually GOT pregnant (realized it)....
c) said Chad (and/or Jody, etc) had dumped them (moved on to that Brittany chick, what a whore she is) and laughed at the "baby-trap" thing (told her to get an abortion); and/or...
d) they realized that Chad/Jody didn't have squat-shit for resources of sufficient value TO extract via said "baby trap"; so...
e) they decided to "abort" that (flawed/wasted/inconvenient) baby-trap... and try again later with some other guy(s).
f) Optionally: they claim that they (only belatedly) realized that Chad/Jody had "raped" them.

It's more like a million a year (note the graphic only goes through June) - roughly 50,000,000 since Row v Wade.
[–]fcb982921 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
A million per year in the USA alone. Millions more per year across the world. The numbers above are for the first 6 1/2 months of 2016.

Why does everyone believe stats pictures WITHOUT A PROPER SOURCE YOU IDIOTS? BE SMART MEN, NOT DUMB MEN.
[–][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link

Nothing on abortion tho
[–]Setari-1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Unfortunately this image was proven wrong with snopes as seen in the comments later. Good find though for sure. Cheers.
[–][deleted] 1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I knew something was up when the photo only ran their stats through half the year. Why not a full year?
I see what the picture was trying to say though. Women have crazy double-standards, and abortion aside, obesity is going to destroy Western Civilization faster than guns or anything else.
That aside, 33,000 annual gun deaths is still a big number that I hope can drop in the coming years. Perhaps a few of those were justified self-defense which is understandable.
proven wrong with snopes
ROTFLMAO
[–]IMR800X0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
That's not as ringing a condemnation as it once was. Snopes has been caught several times straight up lying about their "facts" to push the SJW agenda. So even snopes needs a bucket of salt these days.
[–]Setari0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Ah damn that does suck. I haven't seen anyone talk about snopes in a long time so I thought they were still alright. Well, ya live and you learn.

Don't overlook the systemic murder on this chart either, combining hospital associated infections with medical errors sums up to 160,888 - making going to see a doctor slightly more risky than using tobacco.
[–]newMGTOW14 points15 points16 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
But you need to evaluate risk of alternatives, risk of not taking tobacco is nil, risk of not seeing a doctor may range form discomfort, permanent disability to death depending on your issue
[–]protonexus10 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
It usually takes many years of daily use for commercial tobacco (heavily adulterated with additives) to decidedly kill a person. One emergency room visit over a scraped knee can result in a life threatening antibiotic resistant infection. I suppose if seeing a doctor/hospital visit is your only option for treatment of an issue/disease then not doing anything about it might seem more risky.
[–]IMR800X0 points1 point2 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
risk of not taking tobacco is nil
Ceasing tobacco use can be extremely stressful and lead to severe medical complications. Especially in elderly patients, ceasing smoking can have greatly more risk than benefit.
[–]Demo_Model5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I think it is more than a bit far fetched to call medical errors and hospital infections 'murder'.
[–]protonexus11 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Well, many hospitals are filled with employees that despise their jobs, themselves, and the people they are supposed to care for. It can look on the surface like a diverse array of mistakes and negligence.. however there are several cancer doctors in hot water these days for chemo-ing patients to death who never even had cancer. Purposeful murder certainly exists in the medical industry, although negligent manslaughter is more common.
[–]stawek3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
It isn't fair. Compare "death to doctors" to not going to doctors nor using the modern medicine at all. Sure, they might kill you, but that's because they are using very powerful medicines. With power come risks. They are also merely people and will make mistakes, just like your car mechanic does. Stick to herbs and acupuncture and they won't ever harm you. They will rarely ever heal you, though.
On the other hand, hospital infections are totally unacceptable. This shit should not happen at all. Mostly it's lazy nurses and cleaners, not doctors, though.
[–]protonexus1-1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Herbs/plants are also very powerful medicines that will kill you if used in certain ways and doses such as tobacco. It takes considerably more skill, experience and education to be an effective herbalist.
[–]patrick_tsar6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
The problem with that scheme is that it doesn't show the disproportionate amount of men dying from all of the above.
Some hardcore feminists are even blithely advocating for selective abortion of males on the basis of "muh body, muh choice"
[–][deleted] 6 points7 points8 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Systematically aborting boys will heavily tip the balance of dating scene toward men and make women fight feminists.
In new zealand, women have fought feminists because feminists drove the top 20% of men out of new zealand.
Feminism is a self-destructive religion.
[–]christianlazard2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I doubt the numbers: For example, in Germany blood infection (sepsis) is the third most frequent cause of death, after hearth disease and cancer. It seems very unlikely that it is so rare in the US.
[–][deleted] 3 points4 points5 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Everyone here dies of obesity, tobacco, or heart disease before they're so old their immune systems have fully crapped out.
[–]Monkeygruven2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Wait, medical errors??
[–]500_Shames1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (6 children) | Copy Link
Hold the fuck up. Rounding the US population to 300M, and cutting that in half, are you claiming that abortion kills 0.3% of women every year? Or are you claiming that abortion is murder?
[–]Onkel_Adolf11 points12 points13 points 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Abortion is murder..but the good kind. Most wymyn getting abortions are ghetto birds and trailer-trash..we don't need more of them running around.

Excuse me but are you claiming that Abortion can just assume the babies gender? Abortion is such a shitlord.
[–]fcb982922 points3 points4 points 8 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
Of course it is murder. What do you think the woman is killing, a mouse? Damn...
This post assumes the unborn male is human, which is obvious to anyone not absorbed into feminist ideology. Really guys... if you're going MGTOW then it's time to read Margaret Sanager (Planned Parenthood) to figure out for yourself that abortion is about killing selectively, not anybody's rights.
[–]Demo_Model-1 points0 points1 point 8 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
The post is making the claim abortion = murder.
A lot of the guys in this MGTOW subreddit are very, very conservative and pro-life over pro-choice. Unfortunately you have to get past that here.
The abortion stat doesn't really fit because 'abortion' is not a recognized cause of death and the numbers in this are kinda bullshit.

[–]nigelh1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
OK these particular numbers may be largely fiction but reading 'cause of death' statistics can be very misleading. For example most of the deaths that are basically old age get put down as some bad sounding reason when that was just the last thing they got.

The issue with female enfranchisement is that by and large, feeling safe is a much higher priority for them that actually statistically being safe, and the two are not always related.
Stardusk has a good video about female hypervigilance and its consequences.

[–]comptejete5 points6 points7 points 8 years ago (4 children) | Copy Link
Snopes also has an agenda, notice how they frame the issue:
"that organization does not record abortion as a cause of death."
Having conveniently established that, they can make their argument:
"None of the entries on the list save for the last involves intentional killing"
Ultimately, if your concern is saving lives, the numbers unlawfully taken by guns are but a drop in the ocean and should not legitimately be a focus.
[–]Demo_Model-2 points-1 points0 points 8 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I would never consider 'abortion' a cause of death. No official government body would in most Western countries because they (to a point) don't recognize an unborn baby as 'alive', at least to a certain date.
Calling it 'killing' is getting into pro-life vs pro-choice debate and not really the issue.
The difference with gun-related murders is that they are different to the other deaths listed which are medical issues that are treated (and don't be a pedant and argue about 'hurr, fat people self-inflicted it on themselves', we know, and you're missing the point).
Murder is a direct action of one person to another. An intentional hostile act upon another.
What is also interesting is that someone is so politically motivated that they downvoted me despite my post being content-relevant and not in any way derogatory or inappropriate. Good work to whatever champ did that.
[–]comptejete2 points3 points4 points 8 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
It's an intentional termination of a human life, I'm not against abortion rights personally but it doesn't hurt to point out the cognitive dissonance between allowing free access to abortion and advocating draconian gun control laws for ethical reasons.
Many people will argue that being chopped up and vacuumed out of your mother's womb on her behest is a pretty hostile act, but that as you point out is another debate.
In terms of gun violence, In Australia for example the gun law change dropped the gun murder rate by a whopping 360%! What a great achievement... if you frame it like that. The truth is that the chance of being murdered with a gun before in Australia was 0.54 in 100,000 and dropped to 0.15 in 100,000. Your chances of being shot were already infinitesimally small, was it worth the effort to bring that number down even further when there are much more pressing issues in terms of preserving lives? To add insult to injury, firearm murders even before the gun ban represented much less than half of the total murders.
We don't have a gun problem, we have a murder problem. Violence is correlated most strongly not with the availability of weapons but with income inequality. Men with little in the way of resources or hopes for the future have nothing much to lose and will turn to violence in a heartbeat. The focus on guns that are just one of a number of possible tools is looking at the issue with blinders on, and gun legislation is generally just a knee-jerk reaction aimed at making people feel safe, people who were overwhelmingly never in any actual danger to begin with.

Bingo.
[–]DWShimoda1 point2 points3 points 8 years ago* (0 children) | Copy Link
One more tidbit there -- not certain what the stats are down under, but in the US the majority (>50% to >60%) of "gun deaths" are in fact "suicides" (CF also this)-- and with that stat, we're talking the literal "stick a gun in your mouth/to your head & blow your brains out" kind of suicide; it doesn't include the "suicide by cop"* (and/or "suicide by gun stupidity"*) kind of quasi-suicide.
Of the remainder of (non-suicide) gun deaths (again at least in the US) the majority of them are "gang" related (and thus often associated with, ironically enough, "black market" crime/territory things -- ironic because black markets {and crimes associated with them} are a direct result of government regulatory laws & policies about "bans/prohibitions" -- and thus similar to the proposed "gun control" laws).
* And yeah those really ARE a "thing" -- probably not statistically** all that important (I mean urban ghetto youth are NOT trying to cash in on a life insurance policy) but in certain middle & upper classes, they DO happen every now and again -- motivation for that kind of "quasi-suicide" is often (at least debatably/speculatively) as a means of providing for family... you see various forms of "life insurance" (including provisions of mortgages, etc) categorically DO NOT pay out to beneficiaries when the covered party commits straight-forward "suicide"... but it often can/does pay out when their death is ruled "accidental" (i.e. they contrive a scenario where someone else "pulls the trigger").
** Though that (while small in the aggregate "big picture", relative to "gun control") too can be, and IS arguably of MUCH higher importance (especially as related to "officer involved shootings" which often cause headlines & big "hullaballoo" in media)... See the following:
http://policelink.monster.com/training/articles/2313-suicide-by-cop
"Current estimates suggest that as many as of 10% of those killed by police officers intended that this was an inevitable or a likely outcome of actions they took."
http://www.policemag.com/channel/patrol/articles/2010/04/suicide-by-cop.aspx
"Dr. Kris Mohandie published a study of officer-involved shootings that occurred between 1998 and 2006 in the Journal of Forensic Science. Mohandie determined that of 707 OIS incidents, 36 percent resulted from suicide by cop situations."
Moreover the above also notes:
"Mohandie found that suicide by cop is a very effective means of ending it all. In about 97 percent of the cases studied, the subject was killed. But Mohandie's research also reveals something that every good cop knows in his heart: These incidents are dangerous for the responding officer and the public. Mohandie's research says there is a one-in-three chance that some party other than the perpetrator will be injured or killed in any suicide by cop incident."
6 Surprising Suicide by Cop Statistics
Almost all suicide by cop victims were white males (over 90%). They most often carry weapons such as guns, but only 1 in 2 of the weapons are loaded at the time of the incident. Around 17% actually used fake weapons. Nearly the same amount attempted suicide by cop due to something involving their children. Quite a few of these individuals had a history of substance abuse, domestic violence, or had attempted suicide before. When females did attempt this sort of suicide, around half were white. Over 40% of these individuals were also single, but half had children.
EDIT: That last linked piece above (6 surprising statistics) especially -- noting WHO is likely to try/succeed at the "suicide by cop" -- lends significant credence to my prior (*) suppositions above. Moreover, it's (IMO) VERY important to note that the underlying/driving motive is NOT just or only about them "ending their OWN life"; there are one or more corollary/extra motives that lead them to create that "scenario"; including: 1) desire to NOT commit direct suicide (this may be religious fear, it may simply be NOT wanting kids/family to KNOW it was "suicide" {with perception/implications of betrayal, weakness, et}, but rather to be seen as a "victim"); similarly 2) there may be some desire for notoriety (not only a legacy of having been a "victim" but possibly also posthumous "fame"); and the 3) as previously noted the desire to perhaps ameliorate/negate "financial failure" via some insurance gain for beneficiaries (chiefly their kids).
Point of which is that neither "gun control" nor creating some "legal" form of euthanasia/suicide is likely to truly END this "suicide by cop" phenom -- likely all it would do is alter the scenario's FORM -- because the motive is NOT merely "suicide" (or even "death by personal choice/timing") it is to purposefully contrive a "quasi-accidental" death scenario. (One can also posit that many {without necessarily noting percentage) of the relatively common "drug overdose" deaths are somewhat similarly motivated quasi-accidental suicidal-deaths.)
