Now that I've finished my three day suspension from Reddit, I have compiled a simple list to help protect men from false accusations in the workplace.

The Phone: Virtually everybody has a smart phone, with the correct selection of applications, it can be a useful tool in protecting yourself from the office witch who wants to make your life hell. All the types of apps listed can be found in the Google Play store.

Find the best app for your purpose and learn how to use it and its limitations. Always carry your phone with you, never let it out of your sight and NEVER tell anybody what apps you have.

The types of apps that I use are:

  1. An automatic call recorder. Whenever you make or receive a call, it turns itself on and records the call. It's great to review business calls or to have evidence when someone calls you just to threaten you.

  2. A voice recorder. In business, it is often hard to know when something may or may not be important to your job, by turning your phone into a recording device, you can always be sure that you'll never miss that vital titbit of information again. It's also a handy way to record any face to face confrontations you may have.

  3. SMS backup. Converting your SMS to a text or PDF file and storing them off your phone is a good way to prevent any 'accidental' erasure' by well meaning HR personnel and can be easily restored from your home computer.

It is important to remember that at the end of every day to save each recorded file on your home computer in a periodical system so that any specific date can be quickly accessed. Nothing spoils an accusers day like having their own voice used against them!

This also raises the question of legality. While I have no formal training in any legal matter, I strongly feel that protecting yourself should be placed over any 'violation' of your accuser's rights. In short... Fuck 'em!
