As I try to be a likable person, there are very few sets of individuals who I genuinely despise. One set of such individuals are ones who put themselves in a shitty situation, and complain about said situation as if they weren't the ones who put themselves in it in the first place. I've had the pleasure of meeting a woman like this at the job i was working a year ago that was trying to make moves on me. She seemed nice at first, as all women do. But as time went on she began to show her true colors. I began to notice that she would always walk around with a frown on her face and always act like she has a chip on her shoulder, talking with an attitude and everything. I would always ask her what the matter was in an attempt to cheer her up and the response would always be the same, that her bills are piling up and she can't afford them. It's important to know that she was in a leadership position and getting more pay than I was, so you can imagine how surprised I was to know she can't pay her bills, especially since as far as I know she was living alone.

I wanted to try to help out her financial situation, but since we weren't all that close it wasn't my place to ask where all her money was going so I could help her budget it. But I soon found out for myself after finding her on social media. All of her posts were pictures of her dolled up at some party. All the pictures were posted within one or two weeks of each other. After some further investigation I found out that these parties she was going to weren't just some average house parties either, but some of those big parties where you have to pay in advance just to get in, and then you buy your own alcohol after that. Browsing through the pictures she was always wearing a different hairstyle and had her nails and makeup done. Safe to assume her clothes and shoes were new each time as well. I confronted her about her partying habits and told her that it's probably the reason that she can't afford her bills. I never said that she should stop altogether, but I just simply suggested that she should limit it to at least one party a month at least until she becomes more stable financially. She of course got defensive and said that she NEEDS to go out to parties as it's her way to de-stress. Then I asked her if she wouldn't be less stressed if she knew she could pay her bills, and that's when she snapped at me. Funny how you try to help these girls and they get mad at you for it. That's when she asked me why I don't give her some of my money. At first I thought she was joking but, her serious face made me realize that she wasn't. That made it click for me and I realized her true intentions with me.

Apparently her plan was to get with me and make me finance her party-animal lifestyle, or pay for her bills while she uses her income to go partying or some variation of that. It was later I realized that she was actually best friends with my team leader and that she had probably told her that I got paid the most out of all my teammates on account of my excellent performance and extensive amounts of overtime. I bet she thought I would happily pay for her with my extra income since I give off that kind of energy. Luckily I was exposed to the red pill and saw right through her. I quickly cut her off after that and never spoke to her unless it was just idle chit-chat. Even though she would still make advances on me and I would act like I didn't notice. It makes me wonder the mindset of women like this, they dig themselves in a hole and expect others to dig them out of it rather than trying to get out themselves. I made a simple plan to help her out and got offended that I would suggest that she should change her lifestyle for her own benefit. Or that she even thinks that she could live the lifestyle she's living and have it not be financially damaging. What are your thoughts on this?
