"Relationships take work"
Okay? That doesn't sound like a reason to be in one.

Monthly Starfish sex and weekly visits with her side of the family.

You and me both. The weekly trips to visit her family were actually one of the better parts since I knew she'd be better behaved than when we were at home.

Yep.... divorce rape sucks that's why I live I a van down by the river.

βWeekly visits with her side of the familyβ. And wondering which member(s) dislike you for no reason
[β]MattFoley798 points9 points10 points 6 years ago* (1 child) | Copy Link
They all disliked me by the end. A bunch of vapid, materialistic asshats who's lives revolved around shopping and taking passive aggressive digs at each other.
[β]Samyueru71 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
This couldn't be a more accurate description of the end part of my relationship with my exGF.
[β]Chakra_Devourer0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Yeah like you exist to bring joy and happiness to her world only. No thank you to that!
[β]ibonek_naw_ibo0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
One quarter portion
[β]Sneakybobo4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
I did believe that a few years ago. I did everything possible to make it work. It didn't end well.
[β]GuntherVonHairyballs10 points11 points12 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
I realized my Father-in-Law did absolutely everything in her parents house; her mother never cooked, cleaned, or did anything else. I realized the only way I could ever be "happy" was to give her that kind of life. Just wasn't worth it for me.
[β]teslaistheshit5 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Good for you seeing that. It was my biggest mistake with my ex wife seeing how her mom treated her dad. I told her relentlessly I wouldn't tolerate it. In the end I gave up just about everything as I wasn't about to live the same life her poor dad suffered. Modern women are all tainted now because their feminist mothers taught them incorrectly how to be in a relationship.
[β]rogerrabbitdragon 1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
me too
then I stopped
now she is the one working for it

Relationships take work
Because monogamy is not, biologically speaking, the human default. Men are forever trying to fill the role of multiple men and that is why they are always, in the eyes of their women, falling short.
[β]bamabeatsny-1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Hogwash.
Monogamy IS the best way. But men and women don't want to commit. It takes character. And work. But if both ARE working toward maintaining a quality relationship, it's worth it. But people are dumb an buy into all the bullshit in Hollywood and social media, books, magazines, etc. that espouses infidelity.
Monogamy AND commitment work. Bullshit doesn't.
Is it easy? No. Things that are worth it are NOT easy.
[β]magx010 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Monogamy IS the best way.
I didn't say best. I said biologically programmed.

Kind of like how they say that married men tend to become higher earners and harder workers; as if they have a choice
[+][deleted] 6 years ago* (7 children) | Copy Link
[β]LetsGoAllTheWhey24 points25 points26 points 6 years ago (5 children) | Copy Link
Some become higher earners by staying longer in the office to avoid the wife. I sure did.
[β]hrm08945 points6 points7 points 6 years ago (2 children) | Copy Link
I know so many men like this...
[β]LetsGoAllTheWhey2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Our marriage was the most stable, and we got along the best, when I traveled for business during the week. Once I started coming home every night she was impossible to live with. I learned my lesson with that one. Never again will I marry.
[β]hrm08940 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Smart man.
[β]jimmy_eat_womb2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
i also married the wrong woman.
[β]LetsGoAllTheWhey0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
We all do, man. There is no right woman.
[β]Omnibrad18 points19 points20 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
They are higher earners because they got married. The reason married men become higher earners is because they have children to support. They need to sacrifice more time, energy, and life to become higher earners and support those children.
The thing is that unmarried men also have this choice if they want. Most of us choose to spend our free time doing other things with less stress that are more enjoyable. Married men don't have this choice.
[β]Sneakybobo25 points26 points27 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Nah... it was all about me fixing her shit.
[β]menlandedonthemoon11 points12 points13 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Hmmm. Single for 12 years and have had zero problems. Unless you count the occasional flat tire.
[β]Bartand10 points11 points12 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Because every simp fix her problems but she will not solve anything for you.
[β]munt4life12311 points12 points13 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
Most of my worst problems in life were caused by woman I was in a relationship with or sleeping with. Iβm gonna have to say nah to this one π
[β]slab_of_beef2 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Reread it if you think you disagree.

Single man: Can solve the following - how to go to space, how to harness dozens of forms of energy, how to build the tallest buildings in the world, develop gourmet dishes, how to legit achieve flight
Man in a relationship: Can't figure out why the daily arguement started, where it's going or why logic isn't working in any way.
[β]LotBuilder7 points8 points9 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
I was married for 16 years. 16 months after separation I am still getting used to the peace and quiet and being able to do whatever I want without listening to a bunch of bitching. Even after paying a large sum of money every month I have never had this much expendable income. We just leaked money because she found a way to spend every extra penny. It was my fault I allowed it. Never again.
[β]TrojanPiece4 points5 points6 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Real talk, 99% of my past problems were all had to do with because I was in a relationship.
[β]antifeminist33 points4 points5 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Women create the problems in the relationship and then 'we' have to solve them.
[β]bushmaster20002 points3 points4 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Lol... true facts!
[β]Resident-evil-man1 point2 points3 points 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link

[β][deleted] 0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
A relationship is a full time job which doesnβt pay you, in fact, you have to pay for the experience.
Itβs the same thing as a paid internship where you are essentially paying the company to work there, makes sense? Nope, same logic for a relationship.
[β]Shaikan_0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
Says the person that never takes any responsibility and always blames the man and/or external circumstances for her own mistakes.

[β]Mayocide_Mozart0 points1 point2 points 6 years ago (0 children) | Copy Link
That pun is stolen from Woody Allen, btw. But mah ... female stealing (jokes) from a man. What else is new.
[β]Photogoblin-1 points0 points1 point 6 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
The nerve of this whore! As if men dump all their problems and emotional baggage on their partner. Project much? In my life, it was always the pussy offloading problems and tasks. Fuck that noise.
